Why don’t I like this series? I’m kinda frustrated with myself for it. I didn’t see the chemistry everyone’s talking about, every episode bored me, and it felt like nothing happened for the entire series.
Maybe not enough drama for me. Not sure. Really did not enjoy this one, unfortunately.
My heart wants a second season, my brain knows they’d just fuck it up.
If they do clearly announce they’re starting to produce a second season, I’m just gonna pray they don’t pull some stupid bullshit and kill off Kinn or Porsche at the end. We have more than enough sad endings in queer fiction.
This is alright so far. It’s definitely MAME, I can say that much. Lots of toxic tropes here, but I’m into that trashy stuff, so I can’t complain.
The kissing is way above average (tongue is so rare in BL) and the chemistry is not bad, but it’s undeniable that Boss is doing all the heavy lifting here. As in, he’s carrying the whole entire series basically single-handedly. My biggest complaints have to be that Rain is way too much of an annoying, over-the-top goofy character (I sort of wish P’Payu was paired with a different actor who played Rain a little less slapstick) and that singing scene was so awkward I wanted to crawl out of my skin. I’ll let it slide because the sex scene really was well-shot and, to be honest, the acting is pretty great from both of them for all the raunchier scenes.
Lastly, anyone else noticing a lot of audio issues? Sound moving to one ear only for seconds at a time, mics cutting out, music tracks disappearing mid-note in a way that’s definitely not intentional… it’s a little distracting.
