You can have dignity for yourself and still do something illegal, those two aren't mutually exclusive. The fact that Sailom didn't want to accept bribery money from a boy who was viciously bullying him has nothing to do with him being a curious teenager and wanting a few drinks.

The entire audience for a Thai adaptation of Addicted has been waiting for a mature story where these characters can be portrayed truthfully and free from censorship issues. So these fucking idiots decided to cast children? I was worried I wouldn’t love the actors they chose, but I was absolutely not anticipating they’d cast kids.

That scene of them bouncing on the bed was so cute. The series isn’t what I expected from the trailers, but it’s lighthearted and sweet and it has enough friction to keep things interesting. I’m happily on board for the second half.

You can really feel it shares a director with SOTUS at certain moments. It has a similar vibe.

Yeah, I am pretty exhausted with the negativity surrounding the series. It seems like BL watchers on this site like to intermittently pick a drama at random to be extra critical about, and this one got the unlucky draw.

Yeah, I’m with you. I’m all for the fun of messy, chaotic characters fucking up their relationships and friendships, but Ray repeatedly drinking and driving quite literally disgusts me to watch.

Don’t even get me started on Sand gently smearing shaving cream around his upper lip for five minutes. 🤣🤣

I think my issue might be the exact opposite of what you described. I want to see more of Ray’s life and his struggles outside of loving this one boy.

I remember thinking he was goofy as fuck in Bad Buddy, but he was eating up every single scene here.

It’s my impression that the show is treating him as such a peripheral character to Mew that we aren’t seeing enough of his other issues being addressed.

Like I said, he’s killing what they gave him. I just have some complaints with the show’s tunnel vision because I see wasted potential.

That’s a really solid point. It sometimes slips my mind that Mew is the main character since he’s never my personal focus, but it’s only natural that other characters revolve around him in that context.

I just can’t help but yearn for a more diverse exploration of Ray’s problems, even if it’s admittedly the wrong show for me to expect it.
