Did they ever make a statement acknowledging Shine went in a different direction and used to be a Man Suang spin-off? I may have missed it but it feels like they never announced this change.

I like this so far. This and My School President both feel like the Nick sitcoms of BL to me, kind of cringe and weirdly nostalgic but with an innocent intrinsic charm. I anticipate Gemini and Fourth will grow out of this era and into more serious work later, which already seems to be happening with Ticket to Heaven.

Would definitely recommend just not taking this show too seriously when watching and try to get into the headspace to enjoy some lighthearted fluff.

Kinda surprised at the rating for this? Just finished and it felt really lacking in a lot of aspects.

Main character was the same polite cookie-cutter lead as most dramas. Taeyi was completely inconsistent, which made their relationship development unsatisfying. Acting was lifeless. What did I miss?

Also, those IQIYI subs were godawful. New watchers, I don’t know if it’s different on other sites, but try anything before IQIYI for this specific show. Not sure if they used AI or what, but the bad grammar is so distracting.
