This is how the wrong people end up having kids. Kids don't deserve to be born to people who don't want them and/or only have them because they get something out of them. It's immoral to have kids without actually wanting them. No one has to have kids and no one should be seen as lesser for choosing to not have kids.

As long as everyone has a choice, whatever is meant to happen will happen.

Forcing people to get married and have kids is not the way to go. No one wants to live out Handmaid's Tale.

It feels slow starting, 3-4 episodes and they're still not really on the best of terms from what I could tell and it's very Fl and 2fl feely... when does it pick up and get more into the main couple?

Absolutely not. I for one am glad they didn't force the story ending with kids and marriage. It's not up to the government whether people get married or have kids. Not everyone wants either of those things. People have a choice. Also, forcing the idea of marriage and kids these days is more than likely going to push people farther from wanting either. No one wants their lives chosen for them. Not to mention, the state of the world today, not everyone wants to bring kids into the world to deal with it. The government should always stay out of personal matters.

It's not an anti marriage push either. She said it's too soon. Not that she doesn't want to get married. They'd only been dating maybe a month or so at that time. Marriage talk is still at least a year or two out.

I love that they went the happily together with a four legged fur baby ending! It makes me and many others like me feel seen, too.
