I don't like pz at all, but I honestly wouldn't say he is the worst. I've definitely come across worse.

The only way Pz escapes his father is to stand up to him. I feel like he may be the final blow that finally puts his father down. At least, that seems like where it's all going. It's the only way I see any sort of redemption on his part.
