It's a happy ending actually. The FL is writing a novel based on her love story with ML. That's why during the 1st scene of ep 1 is showing a breakup scene but it's not being explained later in late eps. It'll get explained that she decided to edit the breakup scene because the are getting reconciled

Few alterations are made for the novel that being made. But it doesn't change the fact that the MC is from different world and when they started being together there were some obstacles that made them have to breakup. After that, they started to grow up more mature and can be reunited again. No wonder the body swapping theory is not make sense. It's just the author's imagination. But who cares, the story is entertaining enough for me except the last 10 mins haha
