This was actually one of the better japanese romances. I enjoyed it a lot. Many people find it slow paced, and I can see where they are coming from, because I often have the same problem with j-romances (at least the more serious ones). But this was really well done. The pauses were necessary for all the unspoken things to be said. Does that make sense? I felt really caught up in this. The acting was really good. The leads had amazing chemistry. Must watch :)
better than the japanese version... but the korean version is still the best version for me.
Agreed. I really want to like this version best (and don't we all know why? *cough*jiro*cough*) but it just legs behind the kversion. I thought the korean script was more refined, better developed. If you know the korean version and watched this later some parts feel really cut down and my mind automatically inputs the information from the korean script.

I am not familiar with the (american? or any other really XD) med schools systems. 4 years is pretty far in right? Oh I know that too well. Just finished my dissertation and almost didn't make it for watching too many dramas. I should have done a paper on drama addiction ;)

XD good guess. Indeed I was referring to Frozen Flower. But not only because of the sex but also because of the castration. That caught me off guard. Not really suitable stuff for all ages.
I've not seen any of the horror movies (because that's not my genre) but I bet quite a few of them could do with a rating as well. Though I suppose you know what you are in for with a horror movie. ^^
We'll just have to wait and see what comes of it :)
I thought this was a great movie and I feel that the people yapping/complaining about the sex scenes are not taking…
I feel a bit sorry for the actors if so many people go around making apologies for them for being in such a movie. I know some people carry this pristine image of their favourite actors, which presents them as incarnations of innocence. I really liked what the director did here, bringing up all these raw emotions and intense relationships. And the actors did a great job here (because I think it must be bloody difficult to act this sort of thing with a bunch of crew members standing around) . They should be respected for that :D
Seriously, everyone is so shocked >_>
Yes, a lot of very explicit scenes were involved. By the by, the slaughtering was also rather explicit and bloody but no comments on that?
Please just don't watch it, if you don't like this kind of thing, though I accept that the lack of forewarning given might lead to misunderstandings.
This is a really good movie. The acting is stunning and heart wrenching. It does not deserve this sort of controversy.

Thanks for accpeting my friend req
SKK Scandal was brilliant. Seems like a lot of dramas ending on 'scandal' are worth watching ^^ Though Capital Scandal is quite unknown in comparison. I think there is also a drama called Last Scandal, though I don't know what that is about.
I've seen you've got my absolute fav in your ptw list. Secret Garden. A must see really ;)
Also, if you liked My girlfriend is a gumiho you might want to give the period drama Arang and the magistrate a chance. They both have a that element of fantasy/mystic and I quite liked the main lead, which is the same in both. It's an enjoyable watch. But I might be inclined to support Aya97's comment on Kimi wa Petto. It's a Manga turned drama and brilliant. Watch the japanese version first mind. The Korean version is not as good by far.
How was the Thieves?
chinese period dramas have a tendency to be lengthy. But chinese story writing is usually much better, so that the additional episodes only add to the enjoyment, rather than making it slow.
I loved it! Many people don't seem to like it and at first I thought "Oh it's anoter comedy romance but in…
I totally agree. The OST (especially the themes) were amazing. I really enjoyed Kang Ji Hwan, he is one of my favourite actors, and just portrayed the dandy so well ;) The theme and setting make it unique and I wonder how people cannot love it.
My, what a killing spree in ep 16 XD
I loved this drama. It's like nothing else, which makes it worthwhile just for the theme. I love Kang Ji Hwan. He is a brilliant actor. Though some parts are slightly (but really just a little) slow- the overall experience was well worth it! Especially the beginning was very humorous and enjoyable. Later the independence fight is more in the foreground but that is okay, since it is what the drama is all about.
I totally agree with you as far as The Moon that embraces the sun is concerned. The young cast was so brilliant!
The age difference in MGG between Lee Seung Gi and Shin Min Ah is neglectable. Three years is nothing really.
And Lee Min Ho tends to get paired up with older women. He works well with them, is my opinion. (We'll see in Heirs whether he also works well without the age difference!) I Loved him in Faith. Kim Hee Sun is 10 years his senior and they still had great chemistry.
If you look at Jiro Wang (31) and Su Li Wen (25) (currently in the tversion of You're beautiful) I blame the age difference for the lack of chemistry. Though I love Jiro Wang ;)
