Exactly, she wants marriage but she doesn't understand the very premise of marriage- which is compromise. It won't…
True. She expects him to listen and decipher her given hints regarding a particular situation (like the sofa.) Yet, she can't even spare a begrudging minute of her time listening to him. And I'm sure he won't even mind if she half-heartedly listened to him :-(
Lol true! I'm starting to get annoyed with Ho Rang. I loved her in the first few episodes but now I find her so…
I thought Horang will be my fave character. She seemed laid-back and relatable from the first few eps. But, nope. A big nope. She's grating on my nerves now.
Horang, why would you do that to Wonseok? Your boyfriend is intently explaining the wonders of Rubick's cube and all you have to do is to patiently wait and let him finish. Is that so hard? If you can't even listen to his engineering blabbers aka "the stuff he finds amusing" for an hour, how will you even stay married to him? On the other hand, Wonseok is doing everything in his capabilities to understand her.
I whole-heartedly agree. I don't even know how they lasted that long. Her boyfriend sure loves her to endure that…
Indeed! They should've discussed their marriage a long time ago. But obviously Horang never intented nor strike this conversation to her boyfriend. And she just expects him to agree with her. Although it's very obvious that her boyfriend focuses on his career at this point.
None of them is wrong. But communication is essential especially on relationships.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I really don’t like Ho Rang at all. Trying to manipulate someone…
I whole-heartedly agree. I don't even know how they lasted that long. Her boyfriend sure loves her to endure that kind of personality, I suppose.
And he is trying his best. I guess he wanted financial stability for the both of them first before marriage. They can't barely afford their expenses and it's just the two of them. Imagine having a child.
I understand Horang's intentions. Sure, she wanted to get married, have kids, and be a full-fledged mom. But for once, she should start or at least try to see things from her boyfriend's perspective. Seriously he is doing his best.
And Horang, using double condoms makes it's chances of breaking higher. Just saying.
The first two episodes surprised me. I never expected to enjoy this much. The plotline (so far) is nothing ground-breaking or mindblowing but the characters, the dialogues, and the execution sure are. Both MCs are endearing and relatable. And the other characters has ACTUAL personalites. It's a very refreshing take on one of the most used trope on dramasㅡshotgun marriage out of neccessity. Also, salute to the actors and actresses. Theyre doing a pretty good job so far. I hope my expectations wont jinx the drama. Hahahaha.
Am I the only person who enjoys how "slow" this drama is? It makes it feel like a movie at times. And…
They are giving us several pieces slowly. Which is a very thoughful way of telling a story and being considerate with the audience at the same time. Imagine if they gave us all the neccessities on a 3 episode-run. It'll overload my gray matter, that's for sure XD

Dokkaebi's pacing was good...its the relationship between the main leads Im frustrated. It feels artificial T_T but plot-wise it was good. And the cinematography especially on the 1930's, it looks so radiant and sparkly (I dont know how to explain this XD) I hope this story won't go down the drain. It will be a shame if it does.

One of my favorite elements in this series is the slowness of it's story. I think it's essential in order to actually introduce the characters and make us audience feel more connected to them. I love it, it doesn't feel rushed. Their relationships doesn't feel rushed *coughs* Dokkaebi *coughs*, the story gradually flows to the climax. And if this happens to be as fast-paced as most people want, this will be a mess. Also, the actors are amazing---acting several roles on different timelines. The soundtrack is as beautiful as it's cinematography. I LOVE THIS DRAMA TOO. It woke me up on my drama slump.
I really like all 3 leads, but for some reason don't care for either ship. There just isn't much sparks…
@displacedmoon It's refreshing for me firstly because the majority of my male friends have huge crushes on older or mature women (it's adorable ^-^) and finally, there are loads of possibilities that can happen with Soo Ho and the queen. The queen, as manipulative as she is, can use Soo Ho on her advantage. Or there might be an occurring turmoil on Hwarangs in the future and Soo Ho's interest will be disadvantageous.
About what you said earlier, the writer might possibly use Soo Ho as a plot device to humanize the queen or it will be the other way around --- wagging his tail for the queen. If the former happens, I am out. If the latter, that will be more believable.
To the writer, please handle and tread in this plot development carefully (unlike the AhRo/MooMyung). This is one of the most interesting happenings in this series yet.
Wonseok can be married to Kitty for all I care but not to Horang.

Seriously, I hope the writer's won't rush the flow of the story. It really goes well with the story.
