I feel like an idiot but i didn't realize this was a time jump drama like at all. Can someone explain it to me? Is that why we keep getting scenes at the end of episodes that are repeated halfway through the next episode?
ML char description is that he's blunt and direct. Words such as "I want to spend more time with you, I miss you"…
I totally agree! He fronts a gruff exterior but we are shown how what he is doing is actually caring for wooyeon, like when he pulled her hoodie tight and we all thought he was needlessly teasing her but are then shown how he was preventing the effects of bullying for her.
It's obvious by how much time he wants to spend with her that he cares deeply for her and trusts her, he's just fucked up by his parents in the love department. He's used to putting armor up to cope so he tries to get her to think for herself first just like him and i think he doesn't even realize that it's her unabashed tenderness that pulls him into her.
Everyone was right, this is way better than the synopsis. He clearly loves her and cares for her deeply but is afraid of love and thinks by friend-zoning her he gets to keep her in his life forever so there's no possibility that their relationship can go bad like his parents' relationship did. Little did he know that after nagging her for years to think of herself first that it would drive her away and now he doesn't know how to face the posibility of the distance he insisted on being permanent.
what do u think are his reasons for turning down her confessions? he clearly likes her :/
He thinks he is protecting her heart from the burden of loving him and by staying as only friends he doesn't ever have to lose her. He's being a dumbass though lol
Episode 2 with subs will come tomorrow. You can find it from dramacool
Subs are fast if the dramas are licensed in english to netflix or kocowa or viu and the drama is popular enough to rip right away (i've had to wait awhile for viu subs if thr drama isn't popular). If the only sub team is on viki then subs take longer since those are all volunteer sub teams.
It's an emotional night for him. He just went through it with his father and hit a low crying in the car and then he meets up with her and the feeling of falling in love is exhilarating and it's just a lot of emotion to process in one night.
Wow, i am surprised to see so many meh comments here. Maybe bc i was not that familiar with the main actors before so i had no expectations?
I don't have a problem with the pacing and i do think the 2 leads have chemistry. While i could use about 1000% less older brother and father, i think the story toes the line between cute fluffiness in the romance and the angst of trying to find your own life in the face of society's pressure pretty dang well. I like that nothing is too over the top while still being engaging.
That scene at the end of ep 6 where the music cut out took my breath away. Also pbg is really living as hyejun, i'm pretty sure i'd follow those puppy dog eyes to the depths of hell at this point.
