The manhwa has less than 40 eps rn and isn't finished. It will be interesting how they adapt/add to the plot for the drama. I've liked adaptations that have expanded on the original plot (My ID is Gangnam Beauty, Meow) and ones that stayed pretty true (Itaewon Class--at least what I've read of it), but there's stinkers in both categories as well.
I think people care less about the age gap when they reach their 30s
Ya, I have less of an issue with age gap where the younger person is 30+ like in Dinner Mate/Shall We Have Dinner Together, but i find it disturbing when it's coupled with a psychologist/patient relationship.
I usually don't have the perserverance for a 100 ep drama (so much filler with storylines idc about), but i'll give it a try bc I loved jkj in her last project.
I am not bothered by the age gap because she is a grown woman, but the fact that he is her patient...that's a…
I agree! Age gap with the younger person being 31 isn't bad by itself, but couple it with a psychiatrist is a recipe for manipulation, esp in ways that the younger person/patient might not even realize are happening.
Age gap AND the ML is her freaking psychiatrist?! Sounds perfect for an unhealthy, manipulative, and gaslighting relationship. Too bad, bc JSM is a really fantastic actress but I'm nope-ing out of this one.
Do you expect to fall in love with some random hot guy that comes to you on a white horse and tells you that he…
Yes, this! He loves her because he's been looking for her for decades whereas to her, he entered into her world as some rando spouting nonsense. That being said, at the end of ep 4 when she started to believe him, I started feeling some real chemistry sparks between them.
Wowee this show is divisive. I'm so glad I watched despite the mixed bag reviews because I love it.
Also all the comments about how unattractive Kim Go Eun are gross, not bc she's actually pretty (which she is!) but that has absolutely no bearing on her worth or ability as an actor, which btw she excels at.
Sorry but whats with the pointless love triangle? The second lead has no chance whatsover.. so weird.
I was going to agree with you, esp bc I have a soft spot for the pining of a life-long friend but I hadn't thought about the Luna possibility. If they go that route I hope they sell it as real between a distinctly diff Luna so it doesn't feel like he had to "settle" for the knock-off Taeeul.
This has 88 chapters (not including the 17 side stories). I haven't read it but I wonder how they'll condense…
I read the 78 chapters I could find and it's actually a pretty straightforward love triangle story. The doll doesn't really have a lot to do with the plot after the very beginning of the story. She's there throughout but she mostly does a parallel makeup tutorial for different events in the main character's life and if she wasn't there it would make very little difference in the plot. The story is less convoluted then say, Cheese in the Trap was.
