Even though throughout the whole series i was having major SLS, I was willing to give the age gap romance a chance, but oy, the 2 leads have like negative romantic chemistry together, which is too bad bc i thought they DID have good mentor/mentee chemistry. The story would have been so much better had their romance been a red herring fakeout where a one-sided crush was discarded for a better match for both of them in the end. I was just reading Spirit Fingers which does the mentor thing so much better so maybe I'm biased lol.

But ya, the actress is annoying. She acts like she's in a children's tv show like Blue's Clues, the way she over-reacts to every little thing.

She is an overzealous newbie who everyone dismisses but she's probably the only one who is going to put all the pieces together about the forest and what all the diff shady dudes are doing, including the 2nd ML's father. Also she keeps pretending to be cool in front of 2nd ML but she keeps accidentally showing her hand, e.g. when she was squeeing about him in her car, she didn't realise she was sitting on the mic thing that blasted out everything she was saying "to herself" about him.

Ahh, it looks like the infamous bridge kiss that they talked about is coming up. Hopefully it won't be subject to this drama's signature choppy editing.

You're totally right, eps 15-16 really had everything coming together. Before then it was a low 7.x but if they keep it up the 2nd half will turn into an 8+. The OST is used really well and makes up for some of the other editorial choices.

Can someone enlighten me as to why many people don't like the FL?

I'm excited! So many plot summaries are weird or even wrong so I don't get too hung up on them. I will take any and all tortured and longing looks of pining Myungsoo makes any day of the week.

Glad the whole webtoon is over (and it even is in its official English translation!), that way there won't be weird plot issues (i'm looking at you, Cheese in the Trap).
