I wonder if we could lobby for an award for the worst script/screen play because someone needs to know they did a sh!t job.
Everyone moaned about Playboyy last year but in comparison it did have a plot and some character 'development'.

The scrip/screen play is now wandering around like blind man's bluff trying to hit random targets with no real objective. It makes no sense what so ever and the bits you sort of idea what they are trying to do is really badly done.

I always think as humans we must not forget we are animals, that thousands of years have programmed us with instincts which enable our survival , but we are able depending on need we can modify expressed behaviour..
I trained horses, and some horses are very trainable, but you have to be very aware that there is a point that however well trained they are do not forget that they will revert to their survival mode,if needed for the right trigger without warning. What ever the breed horse the basic triggers and response remain constant, the only difference between a 200kg Shetland pony, and 450kg race bred Thoroughbred is how much damage they can do if they run you over and kiick you.
I see culture an over lay, with perhaps and extra layer on that how individuals react to that training and environment, but you have to look at any sort of conflict to see once people start fighting over just about anything most of the cultural norms are discarded. very quickly. Most of the time people try and avoid conflict in modern life because I think most people fear of the effects of violence which is an instinct.
The internet give people a safe place, most of the time, to lobe verbal bricks at each other with no physical consequences.

I live in a place where the remanent of different cultures are are constant reminders, and cultures are overlaid, so a lot of churches have Saxon foundations, we have the remains of Roman building and roads, and our language, place and regional accents are full of words left by previous invaders with we have adapted. The only constant in centuries of British culture I see we will adapt and use perhaps completely novel way what was brought in, and nearly invader thought the Scotts were best avoided. I think the wall in GOT is perhaps an idea taken from Hadrian's Wall. I sound like Ned Stark.
So I just think humans are as species are not that different, it's just our own self aggrandisement that we see what ever culture we have at the time as something that defines us.
So in short I think all young men at a basic level had the same emotional triggers and often lack of restraint, and you could theorise that the increase in violence in every society is down the the fact their core needs are not being able to be expressed and valued, That what is classed as ADHD in some is perhaps something that would have been seen as a positive in a society where hard physical labour was part of survival and you perhaps only had social contact with a few people.

I think that there should be a crib sheet to go with it of how to spot tells, and do background checks.

I think good actors make things look easy, just like any other skill, when there is often a lot of thought and preparation gone a scene, and then you have to repeat that perhaps many times for different camera angles and match the. performance

The character is very similar to young adult males I have met in real life, so the comment is based on my life experience, and honestly it gets to a point where even their friends want a rest from it. IME

You are confusing my opinion of the character with what I think of the actor, because do that often on repeat is mentally and physically tiring, it's hard to be that expressive constantly.

Over the years I met a lot of people and tried to get people to understand the information they are given, and what you soon realise is what you say, is not often what people actually hear and understand, and how they respond to that information often depends on their life experience, as well their own internal logic of what actually happening.

In this genre most of the time young men are not depicted as behaving as young men, it's my experience they are in constantly moving, finding things to make, investigate argue over and tend to be risk takers, so they often end up in trouble unless their energy is diverted.
Even as grown men they often divert that energy in to work, play sport, go to the gym, or watch sport in groups.

I would say the character as played is perhaps is at extreme end of the scale of normal and in the real world if it was affecting his work they would suggest trying medication, this is my experience Some just take medication on weekdays, so they can concentrate at work, and 'be themselves' at the week end. The one thing I know is who ever is around them can be exasperated by their behaviour, because you end up constantly trying to compensate for their actions while trying to do what they need to do. The friends in the drama would perhaps not be quite so understanding in real life.

Layered on top you have obsessive behaviour, which depending what or who they are obsessing on can be unhealthy because it's often based no real understanding of the relationship. Most commonly seen in C drama where there is usually a female trying to make someone love her, which somehow to drama writers seems normal.

It will all depend if the writers can pull this off because if its all going to be sorted by 'love' , because it's unlikely.

I agree with the ADHD, I used to work in a school and my goodness the boys when they didn't take their medication they were so hyper their friends would complain, and bring them to have their medication. The actor must be exhausted.
I think they are both a probably neurodevergent, lets hope they find something to obsess over together.
My SIL only speaks to people he knows, he can not talk to strangers, and if we are in a group you forget he can actually hold a conversation, until you leave and he starts talking on the way to the car or he starts talking about gaming.

He reminds me of a boy of about 12-13, with ADHD and on no medication, you can tell the days they are off it, a he literally does not know what to do with himself, so although he is cute just listening to him is tiring, The actor playing him must be exhausted. Lets hope their energy levels equalise.

I started watching it on Netflix and I you found the FL line delivery annoying, very fast statcarto, and the character difficult to find appealing in any way. Even if a character is flawed it has to have something you can connect with or fascinated by, and I just wanted her to STFU
Not sure if I will flick through it when it ends.

I watched it and then completely forgot to give it a score, I think because its a bit of a mind f!ck and you have to process it. It made really cry, because it the issue it tackles are something everyone faces, and it was just so thoughtful.
Even my husband thought it was good, and he hardly thinks at all, unless its about four wheels and a engine.

I think if cats could talk they would be sardonic, and we are just the fools. One of mine is having an 'affair' with a house a mile away, I am the other women, and he only comes home when he its cold or wet.

I just wish they would leave out the talking cats, its just cringe. I have five including a b!tch faced ragdoll whose face could curdle milk, and in between climbing up the curtains and bringing live things to chase around the bathroom they say a lot, non verbally. Most of it is with a death stare, which is a notch up from a Paddington stare.

Its not awful, I just found it a bit bland. It was so invested in being 'nice' and wholesome that it avoided realities and the the tough parts for the sake of pushing a message.

So far a really competent who done it. I am not a fan of flash backs, but it gives a Stand By Me sort vibe, that it's more about feelings than what really happened, and how those feelings echo in the present.
And yes Takeuchi Ryoma is charmingly watchable but the rest of the cast are holding their own.

So much filler, so much that makes no dramatic sense, so little under standing of character development, and so much money that appears to be spent on a production that is only competent in its failure.
None of the actors did a bad job, put who ever produced, directed it, and the complete incompetant that wrote it needs to review their life choices. EP 10 was like the sinking of the Titanic with the band playing as it goes down.

Its a 10 from me.
I liked the end, how do you tell someone you love them without words, they both thought about each other constantly and they are mutually dependant. IMO Jira always had the upper hand, and he knew it.

You almost need a detectives white board to keep up who is effing over who.
There is virtually no character progression and little explanation why they are the way they are, The big reveal of the ML past is virtually tossed away so it has no dramatic impact, As one character says why did I do this, and you think all these hours spent and blood split and eff me if I know if you don't either.
None linier story telling, if it doesn't make the drama clearer WTF is the point? It is just a over used device.

We watched as a couple watching The Night Manager at the same time, betrayal again was a main part of the plot. I have some issues with it, but you ended up completely understanding the motives and progression of characters, so you care what happens to them, and a good cliff hanger at the end.
Made in Korea even fluffed the cliff hanger for season 2.

This may be spiralling in to the script writers bucket of doom.
One of my main issues is that two thirty somethings have a case of unrequited love that is obviously going no where and yet they hang a round like a bad smell, like scraps off the table are better than going out and finding a proper relationship. Does anyone in real life invest this much in some one so not choosing you and not need some MH help. They are not flirty teenagers playing relationship musical chairs.
Then there is the ML, he is pleasant but seems to stuck with needing a nanny, and the filter they are using makes his face look like a peeled boiled egg. The toddler in our family has more furrows on his forehead than he does, the actor is 39.
You could say the FL has the same problem but at least she is allowed to have some expression in her face.
I just do not know where this can go, the office romance is stupid enough in its exaggeration.

The only plus point of this I can think of is ML hair, if they were selling hair product it would be a hit.
I skipped through this, its like a dot to dot picture that once you have joined the first four dots you can see the whole picture and you do not need to watch it to fill in the blanks.
Lots of things like school days, and being well off which are completely over used, and a FL that is 'plucky', but had no screen presence at all, so neither actor could really sell the premise.
Its not badly made or truly awful but I can think of better use of the time and effort.
