@grapejuice - elbenne is right , Hospital playlist takes some time to get used to. Although genres are same the themes of both dramas are quite different. Hospital playlist does give you a wide variety of experiences with more character based plot stories, has the sitcom style comedy ingulfed in between the stories that will make you weep like a baby. In short, it's great. I hope you enjoy it.
Dr. Romantic and Hospital Playlist being the best in the genre and still so different from each other. I used to be so cynical about multiple seasons of the well-made dramas since I thought they would not live up to the mark but but both of these proved it completely wrong and I just keep wanting to see more and more from these set.

Yepp totally agree.. this is the difference of opinions Kim sabu wanted from the start so they needed someone to challenge their methods and made them think about what has to be changed in processes so they become a better response team together.

To me, this series from the first season was more about the profession and morals and ethics around it. Writers showed in the first two seasons how a good doctor should be and now they are challenging their own philosophy through Doctor Kim. The premise used is dramatic and engaging. Doctor Kim did not care about what others thought of his devotion to the patients and his patient-first nature. but now, one of his most close people is shown as his alter ego and he can see how his own personality might seem to outsiders. It is making him question his beliefs although cruelly.

I guess Seo Woo Jin would be a critical part of the upcoming plot. From what we saw in the last two seasons, Doctor Kim's philosophy of utter devotion to his patients. This season writers are showing the dilemma when this devotion bypasses all the regard of own safety and the well-being of The doctor himself. We have seen many scenes from the start which depicted that teacher Kim was having a hard time thinking if his philosophy was negatively affecting his students at this later stage of his life. It is done through seo woo jin who is early stages of his career and from early on has a profound sense of responsibility towards his profession which seemingly has only been fortified under the influence of teacher Kim. I guess the intention is not to show how Seo Woo Jin is a hero but the philosophy about how much sense of responsibility a professional should have about his profession (with the doctors, sadly they have to walk on a very blur line of morals and professional ethics).
I am assuming you are probably planning to see this drama. It's really thrilling from the start. From what I can vaguely remember the previous seasons I saw years ago, they were also gripping but the production team has definitely added some dramatic plotlines. It's delightful to watch.
