Not bad at all! The story was interesting. Aaron was impressive in playing 2 characters, as the bossy Lu Tian Xing and naive Xiao Lu. He reminds me of Korean actor Ji Sung in the drama 'Kill Me Heal Me'. While Tia also looks pretty and sexy. The cast are all good-looking. I appreciate the effort of the entire cast and crew, as well as the people behind those who have put English subtitles. Thank you!
An eye-opener about the justice system, that's gripping, thrilling, and intense action! In this 2nd season, we will still continue to see the partnership of Atty. Liang and Police Officer Ren Fei. A well-done drama!
I find the scenes very funny, this drama would have been a great potential, especially we get to see Simon's male lead role here, his character and the female lead look like they were enemies who might fell in love together.. please let me know once you find any English subtitles, thank you! 😊
After his last drama "Mad Doctor", all his social media accounts were closed and he also parted ways with his agency, Star Ritz :( According to reports, he vanished due to health reasons. I am waiting for his comeback ;(
Where I live we can probably wear hoodies more or less year round as there are very few tropical nights here.…
That's good to know, also you're right, some Philippine or Thai dramas or movies also have some people wearing hoodies, it depends on the stylist or producer or director on what they decide the character to look like. :)
Wow! After reading this, I'm very impressed on both of you guys, Shiro & starflakes! Worth my time reading, I was enlightened! ❤️ Shiro, I found this piece after reading your recent article, "Hoodies on Dramaland". I'm starting to become interested in browsing your entire archive and found this gem.
Because of this article, I learned a lot about organ transplants and what happens in reality. It was nice to know about your real-life experiences. I can't imagine myself going through that, but I am always ready with whatever happens in life.
The drama about organ transplant that is most memorable to me that I watched, is the 2013 Hong Kong drama "A Change Of Heart": https://kisskh.at/5366-a-change-of-heart . The plot was about a ruthless man whose personality had changed and became a nice person after getting a heart transplant, like he was possessed by the heart donor. Really nice drama, and so is this article! Thank you 😊
Had fun reading this article! Very well thought out! :D Wearing a hoodie gives a warmth and comfortable feeling, especially when we feel cold, & the style looks cool, so it's not surprising to see them worn in dramas and movies. I own only few pieces of hoodies, though. I rarely wear them because we have tropical weather here in Philippines. I only wear them inside the office (which has aircon) or if I go to places with cold weather. Usually in the morning, the weather gets warmer, so I only wear light clothing. For me, the most memorable hoodie moment was worn by Geum Jan Di in Boys Over Flowers. :)
The story introduced the main character, Liang Yan Dong (played by Vic Chou), who is a lawyer, but got imprisoned and accused of sexual assault and murder of Fang Ke Qian, a flight stewardess (played by Aviis Zhong). Also highlighted on the start of the drama is the Changrong Police investigating team, lead by Captain Tan Chong Hui (played by Christopher Lee). One of the officers is rookie police officer Ren Fei (played by Berant Zhu), whom during his childhood, his mother (played by Vega Tsai), was hit by a gunshot and died when they celebrated Christmas. The overall plot of the 1st season evolves on solving a murder dismemberment case, proving Liang Yan Dong's innocence, and how he teamed up with Changrong police team on solving the murder case.
Overall, the drama is great! If you are looking for mystery and investigative type of dramas, I would highly recommend this drama. Also, be aware of intense violence and sexual content.
I liked the actors, no doubt at all. The actor that caught my attention is Berant Zhu, as this was my 1st time to see him in a drama. I thought he was too young to take this role, he still did well. I would wish to see him in a rom-com or idol drama in a leading male lead role.
I liked all the episodes, there's nothing to miss out. The scenes I liked the most and I can relate to, was the bond between Captain Tan and Ren Fei. I liked the type of boss Captain Tan is to his team, especially with Ren Fei, whenever he defended Ren Fei from his actions. Captain Tan is a responsible leader yet nice and just a chill type of boss at work, he is a good example of a good leader.
Also, the drama portrayed crime stories realistically, which in real-life, shows how those criminals with money and power, would manipulate the law and justice system unfairly and unjustly. As of this writing, I haven't watched season 2 yet. Hopefully, all characters will get justice.
I had fun reminiscing the times watching dramas with my parents as well while penning this article! Have you watched…
I think it's cool that you and your parents bond over dramas :) Unlike my parents, my mom occasionally watch Korean dramas while my dad is not interested with these at all..

It's nice to know that you bonded with your parents :) No, I haven't watched that drama you mentioned, I'll be glad to watch it someday.. I also feel the same way, it's definitely a pity that only few older dramas can be accessed nowadays, I also wish it will happen that lots of dramas will be subbed and available online.
Wonderful article again, guys! :) I remembered when I was still a kid during the 90s, Chinese dramas were more popularly aired locally here in my hometown in Philippines. The earliest drama I can remember seeing on local TV was the Chinese drama "Legendary Siblings" (starring Alec Su & Jimmy Lin). It was dubbed in Filipino language. Also, Japanese animes were popular.
During the 2000s, Taiwanese dramas were introduced thru the drama "Meteor Garden", which I watched from start to end, I considered it my 1st ever drama. A year or two later, Korean dramas slowly became popular. The 1st Korean drama aired in Philippine TV was "Bright Girl" (starring Jang Nara & Jang Hyuk). The 1st Japanese drama aired was "Gokusen". Also during 2000s, there were some earlier drama streaming websites, the most well known was Mysoju.
While in 2010s, as Korean dramas are considered the most popular and top watched, it was also the decline of Japanese and Taiwanese dramas being aired, maybe few or none at all, since everything can be accessed online, as smartphones are widely used. It was also a sad time when some popular drama websites were shut down and no longer found, like Mysoju, Drama.net, Dramafever & Maplestage.
Now in 2020s, various dramas can now be watched on paid streaming services like Netflix, however not all titles are subbed or available on these said services.
Thank you guys for making me reminisce my childhood and discovery in Asian dramas, I miss the past, those were fun memories for me that I will remember forever. Hopefully, as time goes by, we can still watch these old dramas and access them easily online. Thankfully, there's MDL, it's a great website to find helpful information about Asian entertainment. ♡
