I wish AJTL could have also had a better, longer ending like WOL. It was just battle after battle, death after death until the last 3 minutes. So much heartbreak

Yeah I have that feeling too. Definitely adds to the sadness… open ending no more… but at least they’re all reunited in heaven 😌

"Ugly ML“ is a term that is thrown around time and time again but in all the years I‘ve watched dramas I have not once actually seen an ugly male lead. Bad acting can make someone look ugly because you start looking for other flaws besides the acting but sounds like he is not a bad actor so I‘ll try it :)

another day… another question.
Isn’t Ruyi‘s end even more tragic than it seems?
She says it’s too lonely in this world without him and dies voluntarily.
But a little earlier they were watching the stars and she told him she doesn’t believe people turn into stars or anything. That once you die it’s over. You stop existing.
That basically means she dies despite believing that she will never see NYZ again 😩
Even if they’re reunited in the heavens, her decision wasn’t based on that

Only a few sketchy english sites falsely claim there will be one. The trailers they provide are from completely different shows and the dates are all wrong.
The first one of these articles came about shortly after it finished airing and s2 should have aired in may 2023… but guess what… nothing came.
Sadly they just use it as clickbait:/

Discuss the interpretation of the ending all you want… but what buggs me now is how there is a possibility that the future king (the baby / 10 year old) learns from some court officials, that aren’t on the regents side, that YY + LTG only gained power because they were involved in his dads & brothers‘ death and aren’t related to him.
The way it ends is usually the backstory of other drama’s male leads or villains. No way that kid is gonna grow up and leave LTG + YY in peace. Nor will LTG give up power just like that.
