I‘m wondering why he always has a tape on his neck… I saw some comments say it’s a tattoo underneath but he’s also wearing it on his personal Instagram that isn’t related to TV. And one person on Facebook said he said on a livestream that he had a neck injury and 3 surgeries…. I’m wondering what’s the truth ^^
Interesting take on being in a drama slump. I found myself in that puddle many times and instead of forcing myself to try kdramas again I switched to cdramas. Now I‘m slowly coming back to kdramas and if anything I would recommend the following strong chemistry, low angst dramas, however coming out of a slump is something only works with a drama that scratches that itch for you ;)
- The Fabulous (fashion, city life romcom Netflix style) - Hit The Spot (18+ cuz intimacy, focus on female pleasure but in a fun and relatable way and has amazing chemistry)
Watched this right after "My Uncanny Destiny"… I was lowkey surprised/shocked by Yan Zi Xian‘s real voice in this drama :0 I thought he dubbed himself in MUD but apparently not :D ~ his voice is real cute and a lot softer than I expected 🥰
what a nice article, I want to try the first drama you mentioned, sounds interesting! Also have you watched it's…
Thank you ~ and yes I‘ve seen It’s okay that’s love but it’s been a long time :0 … the plot twist is all I remember, haha. Did you finish flower boy next door? I dipped out pretty early ~ wondering if it’s worth picking up again.
The writing of the romance in this drama is beyond beautiful. It has sooo many little realistic details that I never knew I missed <3 Highly recommend it.
A drama to put on the HATE list for being unrealistic and claiming "love will cure mental health" and even trying…
I liked some of the patients stories and the brother but I have to admit that the main lead story was inconsistent at times regarding her diagnosis/symptoms and behavior. You‘d think that in such a setting the plot would involve her doing therapy… 🥲
Thanks for this excellent article! Also I can't believe it's missing the great dramaMad For Each Otherhttps://kisskh.at/79527-the-crazy-guy-in-the-districtA…
That drama would fit this list as well! Also it was very entertaining ~ I was making fan subs of the bts at the time and people really seemed to resonate with the mental health & treatment aspect :)
A drama about the making of webdramas ^^ The screenwriter was certainly going thru some inferior complex given some of the self deprecating lines against web drama writers 😆
I consider that Chocolate can enter this type of kdramas since it is a healing program, seeing hospice patients…
Most definitely. :) It’s strangely contradicting and yet somewhat philosophical how a place where no physical healing takes place, the most mental healing is found.
Thank you for this beautiful and beautifully written article. For me, much of the healing I find in Dramaland…
Thank you for your positive feedback:) And I absolutely agree, while I decided to only highlight dramas that do feature some sort of licensed therapist, there are probably more 'healing' dramas out there that don’t and it’s perfectly fine :) I‘m looking forward to reading what kind of drama you benefited from the most ;)
Sadly, Soul Mechanic has good ideas turned into really unnecessary romances... That was my big dissapointment.
I agree on that aspect. Romance and K-Dramas usually go hand in hand but in this case it would have been better if it didn’t have romance - or at least not between psychiatrist and patient.

'A Piece of Your Mind' was a really beautiful, slow watch :)
