Hi Edinaa, it is good that you managed to finish your Christmas shopping and also catch up with some dramas. Will you have a few days of rest during these coming holidays? How will you relax? I plan to carry on watching dramas also during the holidays and I am looking forward to the Award Ceremonies in Korea at the end of December. I hope you have a good week and I start wishing you Happy Christmas holidays too.

I liked the delicate appeal of this drama enhanced by a great OST which reminded of old times. The romance here was good although it was not spoken or shown in any evident way but very subtle and between the lines. I thought the last episodes were a little bit repetitive but on the whole I enjoyed this drama. Some parts of the plot reminded me a lot of the Korean King of Dramas which I preferred much more because it was more passionate and heartfelt than this one.

Yes Reply 1994 is brilliant...I really enjoy the way they show every day life and everyone acts so naturally that it doesn't even seem like a drama. Of course it is not an original idea as the same style was used last year for Reply 1997 which was also very,very good. However my favourite is the one of this year as I am finding it less 'extreme' and more down to Earth. I heartly recommend both dramas anyway as they are really special. At the moment I am catching up with Reply 1994 and watching also Equator Man. Take care and enjoy the weekend.

Hi Edinaa, not to worry as I also have been busy with Christmas shopping and getting things organized. I am thankful that you are encouraging me about Equator Man as I am finding it quite a sad story so far. I have reached Ep. 6 and I am hoping that something positive will start happening in the story soon although I am aware that it is a melodrama and there will be a lot of makjang. Luckily I am also enjoying Reply 1994 which gives me a lot of lighthearted and happy moments. If it carries on being so good I will probably rate it 10. I also started You who came from the Stars and I enjoyed the first two episodes. I hope you have a good weekend and can enjoy some good dramas. Take care.

I enjoyed reading this article and I can't wait to read your next one. IMO I hear Your Voice certainly deserved to be seen as it had a great plot and the 'supernatural' element was not so evident in the story whilst giving it a good edge. Of the ones you mentioned, my favourite is definitely Nine as I found it a very original drama.

This was the first sci-fi drama for me and whilst I generally don't enjoy this genre, I have to say that it was a pleasant watch. I think that what I liked most was the fact that the human element was mixed with the android element and that the issue of 'feelings' was mentioned a lot during the story. Sometimes the special effects were a little too much for my liking, however it was a different kind of drama which was worth watching.

My opinion of Warrior Baek Dong Soo was good as I really enjoyed it and loved all the fighting scenes and also the great OST. Yesterday evening I started The Equator Man and I liked the first episode...I read some people saying that it is quite slow...did you watch it and what did you think of it? Have a nice day.

This was a very good saeguk to watch mostly because it focused on the concept of friendship in general and also amongst potential 'enemies'. I personally preferred those who were supposed to be the villains here such as Yeo Woon (played very well by Yoo Seung Ho) and Chun as they seemed to me much more complex and tormented than the heroes. I was only a little disappointed by the lack of romance which was hinted here and there but not properly developed. In any case a very good watch with a lot of beautiful fighting scenes.

Yes Sandrose, I will be very interested to hear your final opinion on Harry whenever you do decide to watch the whole drama. It might not change from what I gather, but I think it would be a much fairer judgement. Yes I totally agree with you that the children's suffering was caused by the greedy adult's choices and unfortunately this is almost always the way in real life too. I also agree with you that there was far too much crying in this drama and that it is a heavy going story. Not one of my favourite genres at all. Take care and happy drama watching. I am really enjoying Reply 1994 at the moment and I highly recommend it.

Hi Sandrose, I appreciate your thoughts on this, but we will just have to agree to disagree...yes what Harry did to keep his lover's affection was too much in many ways (I believe it would be better to see the whole drama though without skipping straight to the end as the judgement would be fairer IMO), but I believe he was sincere and was not only protecting himself but was really in love with her...I usually don't like women falling in love with creeps but I don't think Harry was a total creep but just someone who was very weak and who gave a lot of help at the beginning to a very unlucky child justl like himself. Luckily I have read of many supporters of Harry and it is a relief to know that I am not the only one. Yes the ending was fair as he got the punishment he deserved but personally I wasn't rooting for the main couple at all. I admit this was a clever drama in this way.

I enjoyed voting in these polls very much indeed and I will keep an eye on the results to see how they go. Most of them so far are not surprising however it will be very interesting to see the final choices of all the viewers. I really laughed at the category Best Poo Hair 2013 (great idea by the way!).

Hi Sandrose, I totally agree with the fact that I Miss You was too melodramatic. Unfortunately I have a completely different opinion about Harry as he was the one I rooted for from the beginning. The reason I did so was because he had a really unlucky life and grew up protecting Soo Yeon and falling in love with her whereas all she did was consider him as a brother and for a while make him believe that she too exchanged his love. It is true that he is supposed to be the 'baddie' of the story as he commits crimes as the story unfolds, but for the first time since I have been watching dramas I couldn't see him as a bad person and Soo Yeon and Jung Woo really got on my nerves because their love story seemed too forced for my liking...I personally would have never forgiven Jung Woo for his behaviour in the past. I also agree with you that the young actor playing Jung Woo has a great future.

I think that Cruel City is a great choice as it is one of my top favourites of 2013 and I really hope you enjoy it although I warn you that it is rather dark and quite violent.

I am glad you found the way to make the symptoms of sinusitis bearable at least at night and I hope it will always improve a little even if it might not totally disappear. Have you been to see a specialist about it?

After Warrior Baek Dong Soo I might watch Who Are You as it is missing from my 2013 list of dramas watched. I still have 6 episodes of WBDS to go though.

I am watching this and have reached episode 7 so far. I am finding it absolutely brilliant!! I had seen Reply 1997 and also enjoyed it very much but somehow I am enjoying this one more as I am finding it even more funny and warming. The way they portrait every day life is pure genius!!

Hi, I am glad you enjoyed the JIN dramas as I felt the same as you. I actually really liked the main lead but I don't see him very often in Jdramas. And also I have to say that the type of story was really involving which is something that I am not finding so easily in current Jdramas any longer. As far as Ando Lloyd is concerned I have to say that generally I don't enjoy Sci-fi stories but this is different as they are adding a human feeling element to the Androids which is quite original. In the past I enjoyed the American movies called Short Circuit where a small Robot had human feelings and this is quite the same type of story. I find that this drama is made very well and I admire Kimutaku for undertaking this project which is very different so the Japanese public might not appreciate it. I hope to hear more of your opinions on it too.
