can someone pls tell me if this has a good end or not? like ik there's a second season but historical dramas having sad ends wreck me so someone pls spoil the end
post ep 12 they didn't care about the plot themselves anymore, they just stuffed every kdrama cliche into 2 hours somehow and said okayy merry christmas! xDD fr thinking about the amnesia is sending me rn i just can't
up ahead: a mix of constructive criticism and genuine frustration. read only if you wish to understand.
well i really wanted to give this drama a chance but nearing the end of ep 3 i honestly just can't. i can't see such a toxic relationship be given a chance at "redemption''. i'm at the scene where she starts screaming at him for having drank so much in the past when she was the reason for that? she abandoned him not once but twice for whatever reason and she thinks she has a right to scream at him behind the pretense of worry? at least now after all this while know how to approach what seems to have been a very sensitive situation? okay fine leaving that aside. she literally goes on to say "you don't blame me and that makes me even more mad" then when he does say she was a bad person she goes on to respond with "i don't have energy to fight back let's call it even"? bro?? this made me sooo mad i just can't continue watching the end of this conversation. this man literally apologised for the one thing he said to her during this and she STILL hasn't apologised even ONCE for anything? you know how this conversation should have started and ended? with an "I'M SORRY" from her. but all we see is whatever the hell that is.
i do absolutely hate the FL's behaviour towards the ML and you cannot convince me she isn't a selfish pos lmao. sorry but if she was even a tad bit better towards him even this time around at least i would feel like there's something to be salvaged but nope. she's just the same or worse. doing someone wrong in the past is one thing and still not having the basic sense of how to do better even after years is another. i get she has her circumstances and must've gone through a lot herself but she can still find ways to be somewhat considerate at the very least if she apparently loves or loved him so much but all i see is extremely childish behaviour on her part with no change despite the many years that have passed. your bad circumstances/reasons do not entitle you to not be held accountable for the actions you consequently take and the pain you caused as a result of them. she sees her "teasing" does kind of bring pain to him because obviously he was tremendously hurt and yet she continues with it nonetheless. imagine him saying ANYTHING to her about how she left him and how she'd react to that lol.
i was really looking forward to a PSJ rom-com after years but i can't have it be one where his character is treated like literal shit. i can probably predict how this will end and i don't think i wanna see that lol so my final words on this are just that Kyeong-Do deserves better in every sphere. better friends too.
good lord pls give the FL some character development at least. dropping everything she holds, falling on smooth ground, constantly getting hurt or into trouble. there is a limit to being a damsel in distress man T-T atp this is just her entire personality.
uhh i have way too many things to rant/vent about but there's anyway enough division between people here as it…
-the show started off amazing. KYJ really outdid herself this time. say what you may about her character but she pulled the emotions off beautifully. i would say the show kinda fell off ep8-9 onwards. i would much rather the fiance arc was never introduced and they followed the plotline as it was going. to me, this felt rushed and also lowkey unnecessary. it's fine if you want to paint her the villain (not that i agree w that but to each their own) but it could've been done through the ongoing plotline as well.
-also i get why a lot of people hate the FL like okay i understand it although i do not hate her character but y'all have to agree the ML also seriously sucked like COME ON. i fear his character bothers me the MOST. yes, even more than the villains cause atleast they own up to being assholes but he acts like this very good human being when he's really not.
-idk how to feel about the ending. me not liking it and wanting a happy end is one thing and feeling that the ending did not match up to the brilliance of the rest of the show is another. it was quite a let down ngl.
-to end my review, i predicted the show would end with characters dying for sure but i do wish jae oh didn't have to be one of them. my mans deserved better from beginning to end. like atleast mourn for him a LITTLE. he ended up dying for NOTHING?? the CEO dude wasn't even affected like??
uhh i have way too many things to rant/vent about but there's anyway enough division between people here as it is lol so it's of no point. instead, i'll just leave the most objective review i can lol
I agree. At this point it is very clear to her that he is suffering--I think before this week she could still…
exactly. she's becoming the reason for him to feel like he's no different than his father. he is being tortured by his biggest trauma and probably despising himself for liking a married woman when his dad himself broke their family apart by doing so. they can't deny that she's indirectly worsening his trauma. the porridge scene was honestly the perfect (and probably the last) time when she could still maybe redeem herself afterwards. now, it feels like it's gone too far ngl.
man i get that the whole plot is the existence of the misunderstanding but even so she has run out of chances…
also getting real tired of how much of a damsel in distress the FL is. like okay i get the reasoning for the misunderstanding to be there but what reason is there for the FL to act THIS helpless in every scene possible. don't get me wrong, i lowkey love the damsel in distress trope but it's getting kinda annoying now with how helpless and fragile she acts.
man i get that the whole plot is the existence of the misunderstanding but even so she has run out of chances to tell him the truth tbh. there are certain timings when even the misunderstanding has to be resolved; i don't see how him finding out this late wouldn't hurt him even more than he is right now. it would honestly just seem like it didn't matter to her how hurt he was getting, she had a million chances to tell him and still didn't. honestly if it was me in his shoes, finding that out would hurt a million times more now than finding out she was married.
well, that's one way of avoiding answering important questions: just say its not important xD not a hate comment honestly like i liked the show a decent amount but y'all can't deny those last 2 eps were all over the place.
y'all is this worth watching? i'm tired of starting new dramas with poor ratings hoping the drama isn't as bad but these days most of them really are :(
liked the ending credits dance sequence tho
