love this drama sm. while i do think the first half was a lot better than the second cause that started feeling quite lacklustre by the end but still a great drama nonetheless. absolutely loved the actors. HIY has been a major fav of mine but BHS really won me over in this drama!
also the preview WHAT?! girl PLS be mad about SOME stuff. i get that she's being understanding of him and his situation but it is NOT right for her to always be left behind like that AND be okay with it? wdym "i won't ask you to stay" T_T literally the only one who has a right to ask him to stay and the only one who doesn't. my girl deserves better smh. we've already forgiven the 10 year gap w little to no communication (not even a single proper lash out lmao like you're not a robot damn) and now we're okay with another god knows how long of a gap, if it does happen. it would be a different situation if SH wanted to go back but that woman is literally hell for him so like COME ON.
okay i love JW and SH together but... there was no progress? ik they've known each other practically forever but technically JW didn't realise she liked him until he confessed and there was barely any time between that and them getting together? i feel like there should've been more time between them to make things a bit more natural, this was a lil sudden ngl. like we've already completely brushed past juwon's feelings of being abandoned without even due resolution to them and now this? eh
i know both KHJ and KSH had their reasons to go and whatever reasons to do what they did in the past few years with the disconnect but i'm sorry that still doesn't make it okay to come back and force themselves back into YJW's life like that. they have their traumas and troubles i agree, but their leaving traumatised YJW as well, a lot worse this time cause she had to get used to being alone the second time around (with her mom's death first and then them leaving) it was such an important thing in her life to have them after she had grown up alone for so many years and then to leave again? to force her to live like that again without so much as asking for her opinion? okay and they left, alright. didn't visit for so long, stopped wishing her on her birthday which is the BARE minimum. as busy as you are, you can make time to wish a person once an year, even if you can't visit. but not even that? whatever was happening, this proves that she is just not anywhere near their priority. and now after all this time, they want everything back to normal? to ask her to go back to that again (probably with a huge fear of the same thing repeating) is so selfish im sorry. i feel like just because she has always been the "happy kid" everyone forgets that she has had her fair share of tragic events herself. even the dads only ever focus on KHJ and KSH, no one really takes her being upset seriously and that makes me so mad. plus, since the beginning and even now she keeps reiterating the "tell us things" point and neither of them still get it?! despite the discussion on the swings in the 10th ep, when Juwon asked Sanha in the car why he never came, he still didn't even try to tell her? it's been 10 eps of these guys always leaving her out of everything despite her constant requests to not keep secrets. she deserves better too. ik they're hurting because of other people, but they themselves keep hurting her. they have no right to force themselves back into her life like this. imagine how tough it must be to get used to living like that again, to wait for them to come back for 10 years and then being made to go back to how things were like nothing ever happened. yes, they're both going through a lot but so is she and i feel like everyone overlooks that just because them being in pain is shown more than her being in pain.
i honestly really liked this drama but GOD what were those last two eps??? what even was that? i don't think i've ever seen a drama go down THIS bad. even SHS couldn't save it.
so disappointed. could've been a masterpiece but became a tragic mess instead.
ik people have mixed opinions about this and the rating is also low (honestly idk why) BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DRAMA. it is a fresh completely unique plot and y'all can't deny that. (coming from a person who never watches melodramas and sticks to the cliché rom coms always)
Shin Hye Sun really be CARRYING this drama. She needs to organise an acting masterclass and have the 2 male leads…
fr no one can match up to her acting!! also cardboardism has me laughing like crazy xD it's like the casting director knew oh we have SHS that's enough no one else needs to act she ccan do it all xD
man okay so this ep really did make me empathise with JHO and now i know he's not a bad person but the communication is really NOT IT. honestly every character has depth, every character has a pretty sad history to them but neither JEH nor KJY act the way JHO does. i can understand his actions and i get where the lack of communication stems from but that does not make it okay for him to just say whatever he wants to her. thankfully this ep makes me feel slightly like it would not be the worst thing if they end up together, although i'm still blindly rooting for the sml.
this drama is SO fresh and amazingly done. it gets a bit confusing at times cause there's sm happening and i think it'll probably take me 2 watches to completely grasp everything that's going on but nonetheless i love this sm. scared about the ending tho cause idk how to predict it. ik ML will be endgame unfortunately but i am curious to see how everything will get wrapped up.

fun throughout with a heartwarming end <3

the acting? IMMACULATE!!!
GIRLY REALLY EARNED MY RESPECT TODAY. WE LOVE A QUEEN!
