Sweet Potato

The Potato Lab is about potatoes . . . Sort of. It is about the art of growing potatoes. Before you start hiding under the bed to keep from reading the rest of the review, think about it. With something as silly as producing a whole drama on potatoes, you got to be able to make this a funny RomCom. I am laughing a lot. Some laughter is totally “laugh out loud” humor. The Potato Lab probably won’t win any prestigious drama awards. Nonetheless, sometimes you just need to power down and just view a drama which is just simple likable entertainment. Seriously, I was going to pass on this one. The premise sounded too silly. That would have been a mistake. I am belly laughing. The dialogue, the words we have to read, is so great. The Potato Lab is a sleeper hit for me. I should have just trusted actor Kang Tae Oh (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) to pick a great first project, after his return from the Military. The Potato Lab is a go for me.

Written by Kim Ho Soo, who also wrote Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung. These words are so excellent. This story is to die for.

Quote: “He has a beautiful exterior, but a “behind hole” interior. It is like a cruel joke.”

The Potato Lab stars Kang Tae Oh (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Lee Sun Bin (Work Later, Drink Now)
