Title To Dear Myself Spoiler
That's the stinkiest ending I ever come across in C drama. The writer built up so much tension n blood curdling…
Your points are valid. It was frustrating to see the characters change personalities. Yiming’s manly pride would not accept help from Siyu when he was jobless. But, took everything his rich greedy girlfriend gave out including a job, car and living in her apartment. Zhizhi’s husband literally ran away from women trying to seduce him to protect and respect his wife only to change into a cheater who will slap his wife so hard to protect the mistress that his hand print was planted on her face! Zhizhi ended up reconciling with the women who deliberately drove a wedge in her marriage and even pitied the women by keeping her as a workplace subordinate! The characters seemed bipolar and their actions weaned the story so much it was frustrating to keep watching.

Like the dramas Ode to Joy and Nothing But Thirty this drama shows the struggles of modern working women. Only this drama leaves a feeling of frustration and depression throughout which is reinforced every episode with the depressive intro soundtrack. The redeeming value in this is the quality of the acting. I still had to fast forward through most of the relationship nonsense in the middle to make it to the end which was rushed and required deciphering to figure out the resolution of the issues. Additionally, I have not figured out the relationship between the title and the drama. Maybe, it’s lost in the translation. No rewatch value. 7.5/10

Title To Dear Myself Spoiler
can anyone explain what happened to Si Yu and Yi mings relationship? and why and how did Yi ming end up with that…
It seems Siyu was willing to marry Yiming to help him out of his depression after he lost his job. She even found a client who would employ him without an interview because Siyu drank with the client. His pride would not allow him to accept the marriage proposal or the job. He got a job from Ziru and he accepted being naive to think his ability got him the job. Then, he wanted to marry Siyu who was jobless and trying to start a business. He wanted a “normal” wife. She kept missing the wedding planning tasks and chose to break up after he gave her an ultimatum. She wanted to achieve something before marriage. Ziru instigated her way into Yiming’s bed. They deserve each other. Yiming got a lot more job help from Ziru and obviously his pride was not hurt.

This is much better than the Disney life action version. 8/10

It’s decent. Zhao Lu Si was bubbly as usual. Lin Yu Shin’s character was a bit too stoic. His stone face didn’t quite match the effervescent character of the female lead. I was drawn to the secondary cast such as the uncle, the driver and others. They enhanced the drama. Worth watching once. No rewatch value for me. 8.5/10

I’m assuming the actors signed the contract before the script was finished. The beginning is worth watching with good chemistry and a good opening to the drama. The middle is a flesh wound of a storyline that quickly festered into a fatality. The only good part about the ending is that it ended at 16 episodes and spared the viewers of more torture. A rating of 7.5/10 is being kind to the actors.

I started watching a few days ago. I regretted not starting sooner after binge watching the first 5 or so episodes. The experience levels of both leads are apparent. Then, the storyline started to taper off. It feels like a cliche ending is coming after seeing 14 of 16 episodes. It’s not bad. It’s just disappointing considering the star quality of the actors involved.

I am dropping this after 30 episodes. I got sick and tired of everyone being sick, tired or carrying a toxic substance. This is the weakest group of wuxia sword fighters I have seen in a drama. The fight scenes were good. But, I dreaded them knowing mouthfuls of blood would be spewed at the end of every fight where even a win looks like a setback. The love story is a slow burn and the chemistry is weak. Can’t see watching another 26 episodes.
On Flavour It's Yours Oct 20, 2020
I dropped it half way through after several attempts to finish. I have no issues with the female lead. She is talented. However, this character is a too silly for her. Plus, the tone of dubbing does not seem to fit with the energy of the scenes. It sounds like the person dubbing is trying hard to sound young and energetic which seems over the top in a lot of the scenes. I have gotten used to dubbing in dramas and movies and rarely separate it from the scenes. But, I kept being reminded it was not the female leads voice in this drama. Too distracting. The storyline was average. So, really no reason to finish it. 7/10

Title Chef Hua
The food is the star of this drama. Almost all of the scenes and episodes are designed to support and enhance the cooking scenes. The slow motion wok cooking is beautifully filmed. The sizzling of the oil to the crackling of the fire is done well. The main storyline feels like a prop at times. It’s like a glue and bridge to flow to the next opportunity to make a spectacular dish. The romance is there, but, it’s not dominant. The actors were good with believable chemistry. The mother-in-law , played by Li axial Hong, was the best. Her character was complex and she captured the range of emotions very well. Worth rewatching for the food. 8.5/10

I watched both this and L&R and this one is vastly, vastly superior. Being a big budget fantasy with lots of fights…
Steamy is much appreciated!

I couldn’t understand the point they were making with so many those violent scenes against kids and a simple girl.

Oh, you are right. I forgot about them being twins and the birth marks!

I think the evil guy was a former eunuch in the Lin kingdom, if I remember correctly.

Title Princess Silver Spoiler
sorry to bother u but can u please answer :Di am kinda confused about a thing or two.what was Rong Le and Rong…
It was very confusing. I had to take a couple of mental notes to keep up.
1. Starting with Rong Le, she is the biological daughter of the executed Qin family, one of the noble families in the Lin kingdom. Her father was the former teacher of Prince Wu You who write the book everyone was searching to find. That’s why she knew the hidden traps in the house as she searched for the book. Her family was framed. She lived and was taken away. She trained as an assassin. That’s how she met Rong Qi who was her martial brother and later lover. The evil Queen Dowager of Western Qi, Emperor Rong Qi’s mother, broke them up, erased Rong Le’s memories and made them fake royal siblings in the Qi kingdom. Her older sister also survived and was trained as an assassin as well. She is Hen Xiang, the seductress who caused the downfall of the silly crown prince.
2. I believe Rong Qi’s father is the previous emperor of Western Qi. His mother was given to the old Qi emperor by the Lin emperor when he saw her and wanted her for himself. She was also poisoned, so she chose to pass the poison to her unborn child, Rong Qi. I think her hatred for the old Qi emperor made it easy for her to dump the poison onto his child. They didn’t state it, but, I believe the evil queen killed off the old Qi emperor, gave her son the crown and controlled him like a puppet king ever since.
3. Note: the 3 male leads are brothers. Prince Wu You and General Fu share the same father. General Fu and Emperor Rong Qi share the same mother, the evil queen dowager. Also, Rong Le was a lover to 2 of the brothers, Emperor Rong Qi and Prince Wu You. She was formally married to 2 of the 3 brothers, General Fu and Prince Wu! Plus, her sister had an unrequited love with General Fu, Rong Le’s husband and later brother-in-law! It’s a hot mess of a drama!
On Love Better Than Immortality Oct 7, 2020
This was more entertaining than expected for a costume drama. There were some slow spots, as usual. I just fast forward through the slower time wasting scenes. I did not lose interest in this while watching. Li Hong Yi was a scene stealer. His scenes with the bubbly Zhao Lusi were the best because of the great chemistry between them. 8.5/10
