It’s much better than the typical cold dominant male verses the naive bubbly female drama. It is genuinely heartwarming with a lot of humor mixed into it. The secondary characters enhanced the drama. Worth watching. 8.5/10

Did you watch it with subs?
Yes, I watched it with subs on the IQIYI app. Episode 1 was not subbed, if I remember correctly. It’s called Future Secrets on the app. There is a link below.

Ep. 20 reminds me of the Wuxia novels where the hero clan members are labeled the best only to find the countryside is filled with hidden masters. This is really a well made and well acted drama!

Romance starts in episode 17 and warms up in episode 18. It's 47 episodes, so I expect a super slow burn. It's…
This is none of the above. I like dramas and watch to be entertained, especially in 2020 where I have to run from a killer virus and murder hornets! I don’t dwell on drama structure. I like what I like. If they are bland or boring to me, then, I drop them and move on. It’s that simple. I’m not trying to force my views onto anyone else. Let’s agree to disagree and move on. I’ve spent more time on this comment section than watching the drama. Lol!

I’m glad we can laugh in 2020! Both the lead couple and the secondary couple, the sister and Wu Bai Qi, all star in Legend of Yun Xi. The relationship of the lead couple is better, the story has more comedy, but, less action.

It’s almost as bad as the blue eyed Queen Dowager being alive the entire time in Peach Blossom Valley! Her son, Duke An, would not have killed off everyone if she had sent one birthday card. Lol

I will never truly understand fans and anti-fans who go to the extreme to defend and viciously attack rising stars. Anti-fans are the most problematic since they are relentless and can destroy a person’s career and mental health. Smh

Just one correction. You misinterpreted my comments. I like the cast. The lead actors are the only reason I started watching this drama. The directing of Qian Xi Xi’s character to be a loud, screeching woman is a problem in my humble opinion. I blame the director. She is a talent wasted in this role.

I’m not looking for conflict. I just need a good story, well paced, played out by characters that make me eager for the next episode. I did not find it in this drama. It’s my take on it. Others may differ.

Ignore the dreams. The dreams become irrelevant and fade from the storyline in the middle.

Dropped. They are perfect siblings and business partners. But, they are not very interesting. The female lead’s character is juvenile and over the top. It’s hard to handle the screeching. I would have dropped it long before if Johnny Huang was not the lead. I see no romance through episode 17. Maybe, a future tragedy will spark their romance. The storyline is repetitive and bland and not worthy of the caliber of the leads. The villain character is good: smart and calculating. The sets are cool.

I would like to see a drama where the ML and the FL’s personalities are NOT like heaven and earth polar opposite…
Love O2O was the closest I’ve seen: early pairing, same goals, no conflicts, no temptations, and no jealousies.

They stacked this with some great male actors. I look forward to seeing this male friendship modern drama.
