Better than the typical vertical drama. Great chemistry between the lead couple. Lead couple became official the last 30 minutes of the 3 hour long drama which was underwhelming. Repetitive old relationships showing up made this a bit boring considering the length.
I remember watching this ten years ago to see Yang Yang in a romantic role after initially seeing him in The Dream of Red Mansions (2010), The Four (2015), and The Whirlwind Girl (2015). I remember the daily YouTube episode releases went viral because there weren’t many places to watch dramas 10 years ago. Those moments helped raise the series’ popularity. There was no third person trying to break up the couple. It was unique and refreshing to see a young couple dedicated to each other in a drama from start to finish. This added to the charm and the popularity back then.
The leads are my favorite couple in short vertical dramas. I have watched this one a few times. Then, I discovered they are married and not a publicity stunt marriage like those other two that I won’t mention.
I don’t watch a lot of dramas these days. But, I’m glad I watched this heartwarming short drama. The chemistry between the leads is enviable. The emotions are realistic. The actors are perfect for their parts. The writers left out the overused tropes typically found in vertical short dramas of sexual assault, bullying, destructive mistress, evil in-laws and competitive heirs. What’s left are good acting skills, realistic dialogue and sufficient scenery changes to not feel low budget. The storyline gives a chance for two people, distant in their marriage, to finally build trust as they recognize their commonality is the need to feel valued despite their painful backgrounds. Keep your tissues close for this cancer theme with a happy ending.
It’s a cute Chinese mini drama with a little girl as the main lead. Her acting is good. The voice over baby talk done by an adult voice actor is irritating. The dialogue is cringy. I need Part 2 , episodes 79+ to see the rest of the storyline. 8/10

Sorry, for the late reply. I’ve been taking a rest from dramas this year. I agree about the cold male lead. That character type is very common in Asian novels, unfortunately. The attractiveness is supposed to be average girl next door type or the struggling poor girl can come along and melt his heart. He opens up to her while being cold and unapproachable to others. It works in some dramas like Shan Shan Comes to Eat especially with proven actors known for their ruthless stone faced CEO roles. 😁

I watched this over 4 years ago. So, I can’t remember the secondary characters. I think we are more sensitive to teeth issues today than back in the earlier like in the 90s because it’s cheaper now to get teeth fixed than it was back then. I remember seeing British dramas and asking my parents why the rich people don’t fix their teeth? 😁

It was entertaining. I expected a lot of the typical coming of age in college storyline and got it. The highlights are the acting of the female lead and her roommate character, Fan Xiaoyue, the rich girl. Both actors showed their experiences and talent that I was invested in how their relationships would evolve. The ending felt rushed and truncated, a bit of a let down. 8/10
Lots of mellow and lots of drama! It’s the classic melodrama with cliffhangers at every other episode. The main couple is so sweet the second leads look like they are not trying. I skipped all the other pairings which were too hard to watch. The storyline is predictable. I had mixed feelings about the ending for all involved except the closure for the main couple’s relationship. 8.5/10
