The best of this was the cast and the acting. Their acting fit the characters. I laughed a lot at the funny scenes. Those were performed very well by both the leads and secondary characters. The storyline didn’t flow well or maybe it was the editing. It felt choppy. The drama bogged down with the hotel infighting. I fast forwarded a lot of the nonessential scenes in the second half including the pettiness of the hotel staff and flight crew. Rating it 8.5/10 because of the acting.
This is the first drama I’ve watched in a long time. Started watching because of the proven and experienced cast. Their overall performance was very good. Believable. The script is the weakest link. Started out very well with a good balance of drama, slice of life situations and comedy. It ended with a series of exaggerated conflicts that swallowed up the main and secondary characters leaving them as targets for others. They all looked trampled in the last episodes. The low ratings reflect the script.
I want to watch this but my system is busy so i need to wait and watch Before that please give some clarification…
The CEO has the heart of her high school crush. She came to work for the CEO because of the heart. Each birthday celebrated with him was the birthday of her dead crush! He found out from her little brother her real birthday! She’s been living a lie. He’s overbearing and she was not fully truthful when in the relationship. Now, he’s emotionally scarred!😂
It’s a very average drama with some good moments spread out in the drama. Editing problems added to the basic storyline issues with too many distractions in the video game internal scenes and too many filler episodes. The ML had the stiff face look and monotone voice sometimes. But, his overall performance was good. The FL performed much better. Her facial features were expressive. 7.5/10
It’s a cute school drama with great chemistry between the cast members. They must have had fun making it. Multiple couples building romantic relationships made it interesting. The comedy made it lighthearted. Worth watching. 8/10
I watched again to catch more jokes and realized the river spirit went back to wearing the rat chewed and sliced old clothes like he was proud of is fashion statement! I hope he returns in later episodes. He is deathly afraid of the mother!
It is a makjang web drama with dramatic music to match the dramatic storyline in almost every scene. It is not meant to be a serious storyline. It is predictable, but, entertaining. It finishes in less than four hours. It’s good enough. 7.5/10
He is very talented. He should have a good future in acting based on his performance in Falling Before Fireworks. It is hard to believe 2023 is the first release of him in dramas.
I was intrigued by the opening arc where the woman from a broken home who grew up neglected becomes a banker seeking security through wealth. She meets her future love interest who shows her the warmth of a simple home life and shows her the kindness she craves. The setting was fabulous providing the perfect backdrop for a romantic storyline. Unfortunately, the storyline deviated in the last third of the drama, then, fell flat needing a bailout from last minute antics that were not well executed. It was a disappointing finish, but, the garden scenery and handicrafts were great and the small animals were adorable and ageless. 8/10
The llama is stressing me out. Why is it's neck like that
I watched the preview and thought the llama was a sock puppet. Then, I wanted to corkscrew his head until his neck smoothed out while watching the episodes! It’s weird! Lol
Extremely funny with a few scary parts. But, I’ve only seen 4 episodes. The misunderstandings between the ML and the medical student are hilarious! The humor pops up at unexpected times making it funnier to see a joke right after seeing a dismembered corpse. This is definitely worth watching!
They put their hearts into 8 episodes with raw emotions balanced with bromance and comedy. This has to be one of the better school dramas out there. Very good acting all around! 9.5/10
This storyline of the overbearing super rich dominating the lives of the common hardworking people is a standard in kdramas because it imitates the real lives of many in South Korea. The rich second generation behaving badly, treating employees like slaves shows up often in Korean news stories. This drama executed the concept very well including the corruption in elections, major construction projects real estate deals. The acting was believable due to the well experienced cast. The campaign rhetoric dragged out the middle scenes. But, the ending was done well. 8.5/10
I like the message it sends that the big city and fast paced life is not for everyone. Plus, one can find comfort and happiness in a simpler lower paying job in a small city.
It was worth watching for the cast. The slow burn romance was too slow for me considering the couple knew and liked each other for many years. I was happy with the portrayal of the both the lead and secondary couples’ relationships after the confessions. The settings were surprisingly varied for a school drama. One typically gets two dorm rooms, a classroom, a cafeteria, one athletic court/field and multiple sidewalk shots. McDonald’s food and restaurant product placements picked up where RIO beverages left off. I pity the actors who had to eat it. 8/10
This drama was built to showcase romance, bromance and the family struggles that do not kill the main characters, but, makes them stronger. The leads are stars, so, their performances did not disappoint, as expected. Secondary actors fit their roles very well. I slowed down for the China landscape scenes. I fast forward through much of the middle scenes that drag. They could have removed 10 episodes and I wouldn’t miss them. Overall, the drama is worth watching for the lead couples’ scenes. 8.5/10
