It’s like they want as much rage and disgust from the viewers or they are looking for sympathy for the cheaters. I watched the entire ep. 9 in a few minutes because it felt so trashy I had to fast forward most of it. It’s like they are showing cheating as inevitable in all relationships. Not sure how much longer I can watch.

Yes, that’s sneaky behavior. I want to hold out hope that there is a second decent man in this drama besides Engineer Seo.

You’re not old fashioned unless trust and honesty in a marriage went out of style. He may be the type that thinks as long as his spouse is happy at home what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her. S. Korea is still a heavily male dominated society. A married woman must remain dignified. A married man can have the side mistress as long as he is discreet, if you believe these dramas and movies.
The woman his hugging a golden thigh. Probably believing he will dump his wife to marry her and become the younger second wife of a high profile doctor. Dream on.

You made a good point about the doctor setting up his step mother to reveal she pushed his father’s health over the edge to get rid of him. But, the doctor inherited everything. Maybe, she didn’t figure that out ahead of time. The doctor is smarter than he acts.

I hope Hye Ryung ends up happier. She works two jobs and is destroying her health over her cheating husband.

The screenwriter is the same. Giving up family and wealth for love only to put a poor man through school, buy him cars and end up worn with chronic pain to have him dump you for another woman who would not give him the time of day if he wasn’t a professor! She cooks everyday and he rolling and grocery shopping for the side mistress! It’s a case of putting everyone’s well being above hers until it’s too late. Hopefully, she can enjoy her life after the divorce.

It’s not grooming. It’s consenting adults from my point of view. She is 28 years old and old enough to know the game. She could have taken a taxi home by herself and ordered takeout. She knew he was married and both played the pickup game. I have no sympathy for either of them.

Is he trying to be her new oppa by acting like a new found older brother by searching her fridge and offering dating advice or is she the hidden mistress? I might have skipped where they got together.

It’s an addictive love-hate hot mess. You really have to watch several episodes to see if it’s watchable for you.

Plus, they have to cook because heaven forbid him to come home to an empty rice cooker!

It’s rare to see a scene like that in an Asian drama where a child completely exposes the hypocrisy of an elder without getting slapped or yelled at.

I must have missed a clue. Why would Pa Sa Hun insist on a divorce and say the girl is pregnant with his child if he never cheated? He already said he doesn’t love his wife anymore. Did he wake up drunk/drugged and naked in a hotel and was tricked?

It must be cultural differences. I can barely watch season 1 without getting angry at the selfish characters. I check in waiting to see some form of justice for the sufferers.

It’s enjoyable with a lot of comedy and enough complications in the storyline to keep it interesting! It has some of the expected costume drama clichés, but, some are twisted which makes this drama better than the usual. I have watched through ep. 10.

He’s on another level!

He said he was trying to keep a promise to his father to keep his stepmother’s spirits up. He doesn’t seem interested in her, I’m hoping. The noona and oppa greetings toward each other is laughable and creepy. I suspect his mistress maybe a “mister” and he’s leading a double life. He may have married to keep the family image. But, he maybe seeing that radio station engineer who never has a girlfriend. This drama is crazy enough to go there.

She’s trying to relive her youth and a cougar fantasy! I fell sideways when she came out in a school girl hairstyle from last century! Hahaha! She’s is too pathetic to take seriously!

The movie stirs your emotions and makes it hard to believe humans treat each other this way. The acting and storyline are great. I have watched this a couple of times and it is never boring. 9/10

Making part 2 is throwing money in a hole. I can barely make it through part 1.
