AvenueX is great! Her video reviews are always insightful. They deleted her first look video review from Youtube because it contained video from the drama. It is unfortunate because she explained the backstory behind this drama.

Try Divorce Lawyers. it is about two lawyers who seem like an odd couple. She is dominant and younger the man who is slightly submissive and older. I don't think it's dubbed. But, I could be wrong. The storyline is a good one if you like divorce romantic comedies with touch of sadness.

What does the Christian God have to do with a Chinese fantasy drama? I used the term "evil" above to mean a bad person not attaching it to Christian beliefs.

I have watched through episode 40, plus the story of NOVOLAND is spread across 30+ books (and thousands of years) created by a group of Chinese authors who wanted a fantasy land similar to Lord of the Rings but with a Chinese backdrop, characters, etc. . Storm of Prophecy is only one of them. This one is clearly not a lesson in right and wrong for Shoufeng He Ye. His character has more action scenes because the tribes are a bit primitive and live off a kill or be killed position until SFHY can unite them again. Then, they turn that anger towards the nobility. I am not sure if SFHY will live because the book is incomplete. The authors of the the Novoland concept had a falling out.

The instructions given above works if you have a video and need subtitles added to it. You can search online for subtitles. The files come with ".srt" at the end of the name for some subtitle files. Just download the file to your computer. Use the VLC video player to view the movie/episode. Use the menu in VLC to "load subtitle" you have on your computer. The VLC video player will add the subtitles to your video at it plays. This is helpful for old dramas or obscure ones that not many sites carry with subtitles.

Nothing is more evil than trying to kill off your own children based on predictions from a so called prophet. These same people made themselves lord and master over the tribes only because they have more soldiers and better weaponry. They create the laws to keep the tribes submissive, partitioned off in land "where not even trees can grow and raising sheep to pay taxes to the Duan Empire. The Duan Empire takes the grand prize with respect to evil as blood brother fight against blood brother all for power and glory. (SFHY will manipulate this weak point to make the nobility suspicious and destroy each other.) So, there should be less tunnel vision condemnation for Shoufeng He Ye when put in the proper perspective.

Of course, they rushed it and cut it off just as it got interesting. Hopefully, there will be a season 2 to properly work out the remaining issue with her husband. I like the rest of the episodes.

He lost all the adults in his tribe including his parents. Karma owes him a tribe full of lives right now. So, it does not make sense that losing his bride is karma. I would file it under "stuff" happens, some bad and some good.

Watch Jang Hyuk in IRIS 2 the drama with Lee Joon and Lee Da Hee before her last set of surgeries. He was brilliant in the intelligence spy role.

The last episodes just made me angry 6.5/10.

I agree. The writer seemed lazy. The issues with the people he was head hunting were basic. One was a cheat and feared his wife and dying father would find out, then, he pretended to be naive.
One lied on his resume. That last two that drove the ending where ridiculous. He spent his time being the fake boyfriend of a mental case who became mental when her mental boyfriend faked his illness and later died. I thought he would have a few good episodes with the 1st girlfriend. But, no, we had to nurse maid the nutter who should have been institutionalized!
What happened to the fantastic world of head hunting?
Don't get me started on his 2 office girlfriends, both insecure and one a gold digger who showed her tail to catch him. I was angry this "smart" man could be so easily caught!

Amazing screen writing saving the best for last!

Black is one of the best written dramas in 2017. Very unpredictable and entertaining from start to finish. No slow episodes! I look forward to more from this writer!

Is that yuan or US dollars? The total budget was between US$45 million - US$75 million. 97 million yuan would be 1/3 of the low end of the budget. That doesn't sound right.

I felt the same when I saw a Star Wars movie in a theater.
I wish they had filmed this with an IMAX camera as well. Then, I could immerse my soul into this while watching it! LOL

Nirvana in Fire 2 starts 8-Dec-2017 with a different cast.

The drama is almost finished airing and it never offered anything worth viewing beyond the first 15 episodes. The girlfriends were more irritating than romantic with a new one coming in every dozen episode while the old ones won't go away! The storyline was boring down to the background music. The first few episodes offered promise that the middle and last episodes did not deliver. Hugh Ge is the only value from start to finish. But, he cannot save this drama.
