Yeah, I saw office girl breakup episode. This happened after he kept sneaking around and meeting his old girlfriend for drinks. His face lights up every time he sees is old girlfriend. Plus, he covered up meeting her. The office girlfriend was already insecure and his behavior did not help. Plus, her ex still wanted her and his mother changed her mind after seeing her playing the dutiful daughter-in-law role. I think it's better for both of them to break up. She would not rise above concubine level in his eyes. The college girlfriend would always be queen. Girlfriend number 3 will suffer as well! LOL
I like this drama because the plot is simple and reflects one of the social issues in China where "leftover women" are finding it difficult to find a man worthy of marriage. Women are more independent and have higher standards. Women are better educated and are in the working world where they tend to get more selective as they approach 30 and 40 years old. Once over 40, they are financially stable in their jobs and typically past the age of childbirth. So, the pressure to get married when over 40 is a lot less. The drama shows how hard parents work work to continue their lineage and get their children married. It's ironic since there are a lot more single men in China of marriage age than women. But, the stigma of being single past 30 is a burden for a woman but not for men who can marry woman much younger than them without being judged by the Chinese society. The drama is worth watching once.
Damn this is 45 episodes long? Episode 17 already had a shit ton of drama. Both females leads are really likeable…
I would guess the One True Pair is between Hu Ge and his original girlfriend who keeps bouncing back into his life to help him out. He wanted to make a lot of money to compete with the rich men around her. I prefer his office mate girlfriend, but, the first love may win out. I will have to wait.
Any advice where we can watch it, which best sub available?Quickly question, why Chinese drama airing over 5 per…
-Where to watch: It's too soon to say who will have first subs when this is released. It's highly anticipated. So, the usual sites will have it including Youtube. Watch for later posts. - Airings per week of Chinese dramas vs. other countries: I have seen up to 12 airings per week of Chinese dramas like Game of Hunting which airs two per week day and one per day on Saturday and Sunday. Faster airings means viewers don't get bored, more advertisements per week in the drama and new shows premier every month instead of every 2 - 3 months or more in Korean and Japanese dramas. The 100-120 episode Korean dramas air for 30 minutes each week day. The average Japanese dramas air once per week. Also, the demand for air time in China is much greater than the available time slots. There is a massive number of shows waiting to air like this one, Tribes and Empires. This has a great cast and the novel is well known. But, it still took 1.5 years after production ended to get a time slot for this. Additional delays can come from the ever changing and often nonsensical Chinese censorship rules that can alter filming/editing of shows already in production, accusations of plagiarism, scandals, and production delays. I prefer more shows per week. But, the subs don't come as fast as the rate of airing. Expect a couple of weeks or more delay for the popular dramas. The average dramas take even longer to get subbed. I have seen some take a year.
That's what I'm getting out of Mal Ran's presence in that flashback scene. I'm guessing he's the son of her deceased…
Another theory brought up was Jang Hyuk is her real son from a previous relationship whom she tried to hide by drowning him, his brother and the woman she paid to watch them and keep them hidden. This would be a huge twist to the story. But, the hugging scene fits a son comforting a very sad mother. It did not look sexy to me.
I am surprised by the E4. Hu Ge acted very well in this episode and also get started to show his brilliance. In…
Alternative: Use an AppleTV device to send everything on an iphone, ipad or apple laptop to a big TV. Google Chromecast device will work too. Both use wifi.
