The most perfect pace, perfect love story, perfect family dynamic, perfect friendships. This was such a sweet drama. The writing is just excellent. From start to finish it couldn’t have been better.

This is real cinema for a short drama. I enjoyed every bit of this one. The chemistry, the acting, the writing. Everything just made sense. So heartwarming and captivating.

I'm not a fan of republic era dramas but this one is really good. The story is solid and the leads' chemistry is amazing.

This one was too good. They are becoming one of my favorite cp's. They act so well together and their chemistry is sizzling. The story was so good and entertaining. I think it became my favorite drama of this cp. I just love how in love he is with her and how gentle his love is. The fact that he changed his approach in pursuing her so that he would not add to her lack of self confidence was too sweet. Her granny is a witch but he's her guardian angel for real. Her character development was so satisfying to watch. I'm definetly rating this high.

This might be one of my favorite Lu Shan Dong characters. He was so dreamy in this one. His obsession for her was so exciting to watch. So sweet, so gentle, so obsessed. His yearning for her is too good to watch. Their chemistry was so good just them looking at each other in the eyes was so dreamy. I can’t wait for season 2 and I really hope it'll come fast!

Very well written script. The fl's decision is 100% understandable when you see everything she's been through throughout the years. I really loved the ending and they really scared me with the plot twist.I was about to lose my mind.

Very cute. I love how fl seems weak but doesn't let anyone walk all over her and stands up for herself and the one she loves. She's so fierce yet so cute. Ml is such a cutie pie and such a flirt once he makes up his mind about their relationship.

This was so well done. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch this drama because of LSD’s character but the comments on youtube said it was a good drama so I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did cause I enjoyed it very much. Lu shan dong is a villain but a very sweet one. Not in the beginning but he comes around pretty quickly and fl was on point from start to finish. Concentrated on her revenge until the very end. I really liked the ending cause it was really fitting.

This might be my favorite Chen Si role so far. He was so freaking charming. So gentle, so soft spoken, so full of love for fl. His love for her was so sweet I could feel the toothache coming. Fl killed her role. It's only my second time seeing her in a drama but her acting improved a lot in the past few months. I love how she stayed true to herself and her revenge. She was no weak damsel in distress and she was so cute. Unexpected but very good pairing. The chemistry was chemistrying and I fell in love with Chen Si a little bit more than usual.

The outfits in this drama were so stunning! I hadn't seen traditional chinese clothing in so many different styles before and I enjoyed this a lot in this drama. The plot was good. The chemistry was nice and Zhang Bei Xi's hand placements?? My goodness he was so hot in here. I feel like at this point, he could have chemistry with the wall cause he's just that good! I will rewatch this drama for sure.

This drama was excellent from start to finish. I love how smitten he was for her and how he never puts his pride before his feelings for her. Seeing him cry for her made me weak for real. I loved every bit of this drama. Fl ate her role down! She was so good.

Fl was so funny here. I love how she was continuously seducing him. So badass.

It's true that later versions are sometimes better than the 1st version. I also have certain actors for who I watch anything really cause I enjoy them a lot like Yu Yin and Chen Si and Zhang Bei Xi. I just see their faces and click on the dramas to watch haha

I would've definetely enjoyed this version more had I not watched Ke Chun's version first. Overal, this was a good version but I didn't care for fl as much as I did in Ke Chun's version. I think Zhai Yi Ying portrayed Jiang Wan Zhi's character so well compared to this fl here. Their chemistry was really good tho compared to the plot that was a bit all over the place. I feel like they added different parts of the different versions in this one which made this a bit unserious. But I did enjoy it so I rated this an 8.
