I am on episode 14 and this shit is frustrating. There is absolutely no communication between the leads which I'm disappointed with because I thought they'd be more mature people than this. I understand Gu Wei finds it hard to express his feelings but this is just too much and I am so annoyed. The second couple also piss me off (especially the guy). He acts like a high school kid that does nothing but thinks with his manhood which is precisely what he does all the time. We're on 14 and there has been no character development whatsoever. They call the main leads 'brother' and 'sister' but they make decisions on their behalf that tell me otherwise. They don't do anything but make it worse for their friends, and altogether they're just a shit couple and I want to wipe the floor with the Gu Xiao's face. Speaking of making actions on their behalf, what is it with the 2ML and the 2FL?? one manipulates her relationship with Gu Wei's parents to force herself on him and the other needs to get humbled before I punch him in the face and make it so he stops smiling so annoyingly.

this drama is SO GOOD! it's the first cdrama that's captured me fully this year and im looking forward to more!!! I love the dynamic between the ML and the FL. my favourite trope!!!!

I personally like this over the first one, however that is my opinion. I also see a lot of people comparing this with A Love So Beautiful and I cannot help to be absolutely offended. I like the sophistication of the FL. She is smart, confident and self assured. I love how consistent she is even though she is talking to her crush of 15 years. Personally the FL here is quite possibly my favourite FL in chinese dramas after Yu Shi of The world of fantasy, and seeing it be compared to A Love So Beautiful angers me so much because I recently watched the Korean Version and felt nothing but embarrassment and annoyance. I like this girl so much as she never fails to amuse me. Their interactions are intelligent and the dialogue is clever. I especially enjoyed their intelligent conversation on the albatross as its obscurity in topic shows how they can express their intelligent side in a way they usually cant with others and it highlighted how in sync they were. I like how she doesn't change into a complete dumbass who doesn't know common sense and actually respects the ML. And for those comparing it to the first one; your opinions are understandable. However please show respect to the cast as they worked hard on it. I prefer this one better however preference is subjective so please try to provide constructive criticism instead of just plainly insulting it.

She is talking in a way which doesn't degrade the way she speaks. She knows her own worth and she doesn't forget that she's a genius second only to him. For me I prefer than over an inconsistent FL who seems to be confident and self assured in academics and everything in life but is dumb when it comes to the one she likes. It's just poor writing and embarrassing.

It is suppose to show how they are perfectly in sync with one another. It's their own form of communication which makes them different when with others. The obscurity of the way they speak is not the way normal people speak, which is supposed to emphasise their special bond and how they are able to express their intelligence with one another in a way they usually can't with other people.

sorry, from your wording I had interpreted it as the ML purposely acting distant towards Yu Shi which was not the case as he doesn't seem to have any choice due to the seal. Anyway thank you for the clarification

omg sorry I totally confused the two but yeah I am SO MAD after what he did to Yu Shi. Anyway I hope he's irrelevant throughout the rest of the drama or he dies at some point because having him as the villain would just ruin the spice of this drama as he is impulsive and too idiotic to be one. Hopefully when they've gone back to their rightful positions (Sun God Of War etc.) he'll be dead because villains like these just make the story infuriating and emotionally exhausting

And as for Yushi's love interest it is clear her and Qin Lie are always going to be meant to be together as their love seems to transcend different lifetimes.

girl why are you literally shitting on everything about this drama. If it really does rile you up this much then do yourself and everyone a favour and stop watching it and just move on. Your comments are just so unpleasant to read. And novels are just generally different to adaptations and judging from the pacing of this drama, you will definitely not like it. Dramas like this usually last 60 or so episodes, I don't know how long this one is gonna be so please just stop. Chinese novels and manhuas generally have fast pacing probably because of the budget. You can't just expect the drama to be as fast paced when it's meant to be broadcasted for a fixed period of time. People come for the slow burn and its unfortunate that you don't like it but please stop souring everyone's mood on this comment section. Have a nice day.

No it is not in ANY WAY similar to Eternal Love. This drama's plot is not meant to be uncovered in the first episode because this drama has a very in depth plot line. Judging from this comment I don't think you'd have the patience for this drama. And yes it does have to do with 'demon world' partly but again you'd have to continue on watching for it to make sense; spoiling it would only take the thrill out of it. And to answer about his powers, he is a thunder cultivator. This fictional world revolves around cultivators, sects etc. and he happens to be a very good one.

Well since he very nearly raped Yu Shi, it's a no for me. I know some will definitely argue second lead syndrome or whatever bullshit they pull and be like "aww no it's the ring's fault" but the guy already had ill intentions from the beginning in my opinion. The ring only amplified it. He would've acted out of jealousy in the future and the only thing the ring did was make it happen faster

you're right. Yu Xin's grand dad knew Qin Lie's Grand dad and they seem to be very important people in some sort of dimension. Yu Xin doesn't actually exist, the real one is missing some sort of soul so his grand dad just alters him to be a sort of guardian for Qin Lie as he appears again in The Forging Sect as Yi Yuan. I can't fully grasp it but it is quite interesting and I'm looking forward to more
