All those people ready to jump ship sure must be happy right now.

We literally just avoided the most horrible scenario this episode in the best way possible. This drama is just built different. Yeah, we'll have more drama for sure but it won't be outright horrible scenarios that lesser dramas have.

This. Grace wormed her way into their trust and from there was able to hide a lot of stuff. Da Hye's background check probably was left to her.

She needs to be humbled way way more.

Hiding from prosecution would be bad as I imagine that leaves them open to criminal behavior depending on laws. Should be more hiding from media and ES and co.

The only thing that makes sense is that they want to hide out for a bit. If they go to a hotel they will be swarmed with reporters and people everywhere. I hope that is indeed the case and not them literally having no money.

I don’t see why they should have lost their shares? Except for Gramps and maybe the dumbass brother. But the rest should have their shares if they had any under their names. Same for any bank accounts in their name.

I don't think they all lost their shares? Grandpa lost his shares (or at least some of them). Dumb idiot brother might have lost any shares he could have had? But unless the others fucked around they should still have their shares. Probably not a lot but enough to let them have some measure of wealth.

Their house might be all under gramp’s name or he at least owns the land they are built on. But yeah, they should not have lost their wealth and assets.

I don't think they lost their wealth. Even if they lost their main home (by being under gramp's name I guess since they are all connected on the same land) and positions of power in Queens Group they should still have a decent chunk of their wealth. It may or may not be tied up in things such as shares of Queens group which I don't think they want to sell at the moment. They are going to HW's hometown I think to avoid reporters/etc as they would be hounded by them and likely to escape the villain's detection.

I'm desperately hoping that they didn't lose all their wealth. That's insanity on an absurd level even for the sake of driving this drama's plot. Like I can see them losing their homes (under Gamp's name) and positions within the company but that should be it.

People tend to let their guard down around people they know and trust and our villains have spent years (decades for some of them) building trust. They known so much about the family and its weaknesses that they can fool the family with said knowledge.

I've seen it mentioned a fair bit that the family is being easily fooled but It is important to note that the scheming against the family began decades ago. It started when Hae In was a young child. Gramp's girlfriend was already with them at the time and has no doubt been taking a hand in shaping and guiding things. Decades to build profiles on the family and how to manipulate them. Their weaknesses are known and being exploited from people they trust who have spent years building said trust. People who have subverted those around the family. Take HW's assistant(?) who is spying on him as well. If you don't suspect betrayal then it's going to take you by surprise. Should the family be on guard for betrayal? Sure. But note that the snakes around them have spent time building a relationship with them which has likely lowered some guards. Now some people are just dumb like Hae In's brother while Hae In's mom has some clear biases which are very easy to exploit by someone that she trusts.

This isn't some rando group of people coming out of the blue to fool the family. This is a conspiracy years in the making tailored to fuck over the family.

Very impressive growth for the drama so far.

do hope that the bulk of the miscommunication ends between the two. The drama/issues it produced is enough I feel. They clearly are on the path to fixing that so a setback would be mad annoying.
