Barring the memory loss trope, no. It shouldn't matter. They are communicating and things hopefully get better for them on that front. The divorce papers should cause some waves but as long as they talk it should be fine. It's why I feel the memory loss trope will rear its ugly head. We are just on episode 5 and we've got a long way to go.

But it does look like HW’s room? The lights, the clock, the printer and desk all appear to match. So does the raised floor off to the side where the bed is.

The divorce paper should be kept in the safe assuming that HW didn't destroy it. So logically they should find it even if that isn't what they were going after.

There is a scene where Hae In is learning to help in the kitchen and isn't wearing her ring in Yongdu-ri. Probably around the same visit. I think it does lead to suggest that they aren't wearing their rings for some reason. Whether they fully divorced or they are "separated" and not wearing rings at the moment.

It is also possible that Hae In has lost her memories of HW? And that is why they aren't wearing their rings? He's working on making her fall in love with her all over again?

I think there is enough smoke here to suggest that something does happen after the reconciliation in Germany. Hopefully it isn't something of a degrading of their relationship after the Germany trip unless it has to do with memory loss.

There definitely are scenes post-Germany with the two of them without rings.

The above for example is when HW is fighting some people. And you can clearly see him without a ring. There are other scenes that don’t appear to be flashbacks.

You are right in that it does look like they should reconcile in Germany so the big question is why they would not be wearing the rings.

Trailers already show scenes (after the scenes in Germany this upcoming weekend) where the two aren’t wearing their rings so no doubt lots of drama to be had as they work through their relationship issues and her illness. 😭😭

This is basically telling me that you aren’t paying attention and literally can’t see how absolutely in love with her husband Hae In is.

Like before the drama started I worried about 2ml being an issue romantically but the drama is shitting on that idea. This isn’t a drama about the female trying to discover who she loves.

This is a drama about two loves that were interested in each other. They dated. They married. They had sex and conceived a baby.

2ml was a romantic loser that got rejected and had to piss off. Then male lead swept in and woo’d the girl and put a ring on the finger. 2ml is a loser that wasn’t even around for when Hae In’s heart was won.

He is here to fight a war (in part) that was over long ago.

This drama is all about Hae In and HW rediscovering their love and opening up to each other after tragedy and years of issues. It’s not about who Hae In is romantically interested in. The drama couldn’t make it clearer.

Hae In literally has no room in her heart for anyone but HW lol. This the lady that wears ugly/gaudy shoes (versus more suitable/beneficial ones) to an important meeting because HW brought them for her and asked her to wear them and is very happy to do so. She is 120% in love with HW.

2ml is nowhere near being a romantic interest for Hae In. He is just a business partner.

Nah, dude loves her. Just hidden under years of disappointment and grief and anger.

It's the only reason I haven't watched Mr. Sunshine. 😂

Yeah, episode 4 when they (2ml, the matchmaker, and the other guy) talk about the stocks pretty much lays it out. They already purchased a decent chunk already and are going to bamboozle other shareholders into putting up their shares for collateral to take part in a fund (scam fund it seems) so they can obtain those shares as well.

At the end of episode 1 where there is a flashback to their wedding. They were asked to record a video of them saying something to their future selves ten years down the line.

That is what I mean by promise the show made, they need to show the two watching those videos or at least depict such a scene. It easily could have been another scene if Hae In was actually going to die and it wouldn’t have been any less sad/miserable for us. But they specifically chose a scene where they are recording videos for their future selves ten years down the line.

The ending to IRIS ( my first kdrama with a bad ending) wrecked me and I became someone that loved spoilers so I can avoid stuff with bad endings. This show? I will never ever recovery from a sad ending. Might even put me off of kdramas completely lol.

But I'm hopeful that there will be a happy ending. The epilogue showed them making videos that they can watch ten years later. They need to deliver on that promise!

Everything points to there being no love triangle lol. Hae In is totally and absolutely in love with HW. She wouldn’t give a fuck about 2ML if he wasn’t connected with the boss of the company she wants in her malls.

And seems like 2ML inspiring jealousy in HW should be coming to an end soon going by previews.
