No character development for Chae Ri - but it's kind of understandable because it's hard for some people to change, especially within such a short time (several weeks time in the story, was it). She is such a bitter character who is unhappy, and just wants to see the world burn lol. Toxic energy :(

I know I "dropped" this last week, but I still have it on in the background just to see how it ends. Closure, I guess?

You'll keep seeing how GyuMin drops statements here and there, leading her on a bit. Subtle, but he does. Guilt-tripping, gas-lighting, sweet words, harsh words, quite a variety lol

This, precisely! Many dramas are written by women or for women. Which is why we often see the PERFECT guy (either rich, super nice, super capable, etc) while the female lead is very average, normal, next-door-neighbor kind of person + has many flaws.

It's so that viewers (predominantly female) can see themselves as the FL or relate to her, get super invested, emotionally "live through the FL".

I think it's cause those people see themselves in her... lol

Yeah, I'm about to just skip all her scenes from here on out. I don't like her manipulative behavior - the crying, going to main FL and asking her to draw the line, her repetitive confessions, not respecting boundaries that he sets with her, etc.

It's tiring to see.

2nd FL says what's important to her is Jae Hoon's heart - yet she doesn't want to accept that Jae Hoon loves the FL, not her. It's so hypocritical. She doesn't truly love Jae Hoon. If she did, she would let him follow his heart.

Instead, she asks 1st FL to "draw the line" with him. -___-;

Essentially, it was an "AI" trained with someone's entire life of memories. The AI would respond to their loved ones in a way - personality, expressions, manner of speaking - that matched the database (of memories) uploaded onto it.
