Agree, but they're almost 18. They planned to make a living off their art, which I assume is what they did until…
Yeah, I hear you. Of course I don't think minors should be left to do things on their own. The human brain doesn't fully mature until around mid-twenties(?). Minors definitely need supervision.
From a fiction-watching perspective, I still feel the two were better off in a foreign country. The dire circumstances made their independence understandable.
However, I largely agree with you. Hyo Rin is immature. She grew up in a protective environment. In a way, In Hye seems like an 'older sister' to her. Hyo Rin wouldn't have dreamed of running away by herself, but did so because she found strength in that they are together.
It WAS selfish on In Hye's part to go 'no contact' on her two older sisters who clearly care so much about her. Like In Joo reflected, a simple call or message that they were safe & sound was all she wished for. And with all the news articles, In Hye must have heard about her sister's arrest and Sang Ah's death. None of this was touched upon in the drama. Even if the two girls lived under a rock, it's hard to believe that they couldn't have known what was going down in Korea.
I suppose this reasoning may only make sense for drama-land.
For real.. The hate isnt unfounded! Most of korean comments critize Gyu Min's toxic, manipulative (gaslighting) behavior too. International/foreign/english commenters too...
I think the younger crowd who can't see past Gyu Min's appearance are the ones defending him.
The way I see it, this was planted to the story to repeat what was happened and the leads face the same choice.…
They may have thought they deserved it – they are from a poor background. In Kyung couldnt pursue higher education but now she finally can. If the money went to charity, it would have gone to kids like her maybe.
Iunno. Lots of viewers arent happy they kept the money.. but like.. better the girls get it than some corporation or government? maybe dumb of me to think this way xD
ah yes. Everyone was so happy to get a cut of that dirty money, while someone else sits in prison. Even In Kyung,…
Would you have preferred that a charity foundation or government got the money instead?
It seems like the girls felt fine with keeping it since they went through hardships cause of it – lives threatened, kidnapping/locked-up. They also turned in and brought into light the true schemers. Perhaps they felt it was like reward money?
Meh. I'd rather the girls + Doil + Hwayoung get it. In Kyung can pay it forward with her righteous reporting. I'm surprised In Joo was given a larger cut.... In Hye's gratitude or something?
Regarding part of the ending, I think i would have liked it better if the 3 sisters did not take those money in…
Maybe it's like a consolation money for their psychological suffering – life threatened and all. Or reward money for catching the murderer Sang Ah.
It was iffy, but at the same time.. it was nice to see that the money helped them out. Where else would it have gone? Back to the rich corporation? Taken by the government? Donated to a charity foundation?
Aren't In-hye and Hyo-rin minors? They're high school students. Right? Why are they being allowed to roam the…
Agree, but they're almost 18. They planned to make a living off their art, which I assume is what they did until they became adults (when they could withdraw the funds).
IRL, there are high schoolers who end up becoming Independent sooner than 18. Mostly cause of failing foster system or absent parenting. There are laws of "emancipation of minors" for U.S. people. In Korea, legal age is 19 or something. Which is why we see a scene of the girls buying tickets with written parental permission statements. I guess it could be fantasy, but the two girls were forced to mature (grow up) due to the circumstances they were in.
It was better that In Hye and Hyo Rin ran off anyway. In Hye would be safe, and she wouldn't be taken hostage or killed. Since they were minors and need protection, Do Il made sure they had a safe place to reside. He was also the mastermind behind keeping the money under safe keeping. Looks like In Hye's role is kind of minor in that regard..
Ji Yeon tried to be alone with Hyun Gyu a few times (inviting him to her room to talk privately), but he politely refused multiple times. He's definitely showing boundaries and his interest in Hae Eun!
I hope he stays that way :(( I'd hate to see Hyun Gyu and Ji Yeon go on a date, then having Hae Eun hurt by any changed feelings on his part.
I guess Ji Yeon is no longer interested in Gyu Min nor Hee Do?
Ackk...
Nervous.
There were some rumors that someone say Ji Yeon on a date with someone who looks like an idol(?) Hyun Gyu def fits that image - his height and body line. Pls be false.
gosh gyumin is the worst. he says that bc of haeun's drunk skinships with hyungyu, it may give people a bad impression…
Gyu Min is so wrong. He hurts Hae Eun's feelings by telling her that "Everyone thinks your behavior is wrong." But you know what? Everyone except Gyu Min is happy for Hae Eun. Even Hyun Gyu's Ex, Na Eon, is rooting for the two.
He's just a jealous prick who wants Hae Eun to keep crying and be in pain cause of him. It's like her pain boosts his self-confidence in a disgusting way.
Na Yeon is nicer to her Ex than Gyu Min. Atleast Na Yeon tried to make him comfortable when he was new and awk…
Yeah, Won Bin is not toxic. He just has a lot of 미련 (lingering feelings? regret? feelings?) for Ji Soo. However, Tae Ee isn't toxic. Na Eon (나언) and her Ex Hyun Gyu (현구) are also not toxic..
Gyu Min (규민) is the most selfish individual on the show, and also intentionally harms Hae Eun (해은)‘s mental state. He knows exactly what to say to hurt her feelings.
Ji Soo (지수) is completely over her ex. I felt sorry for her ex cause she didn't want to be in the same space as him! She doesn't want to talk about past. On some scenes, viewers could tell the 제작진(producers?) don't like her because she tried to use her hand to cover her face during their conversations (her and her ex on their "date" out); she also cast aside the camera inside the car cause she wasn't in the mood to be filmed. Instead of editing those scenes out, they kept it in to spite her .Ji Soo agreed to be filmed and chose to come onto this program, yet she ruins the producer's carefully positioned camera and mission-events. I'm unsurprised she is getting hate from viewers, but she may just be an introvert who was just DONE with cameras.. and also just Over her ex to the point where she feels her behavior is justified.

Love one another but not a good timing (or circumstances), so they part.
In Joo’s feelings were unclear too. Did she like Hwa Young or Do Il romantically?
I hope he stays that way :(( I'd hate to see Hyun Gyu and Ji Yeon go on a date, then having Hae Eun hurt by any changed feelings on his part.
