lol I agree, this is actually a usual pattern in cdrama or even kdrama land. I had read a lot of comments from female viewers to see this pattern. They justified tsundere MLs like crazy but when female acted that way, they get called annoying😂
Fellow female are so hard with their own gender characters, what’s new right? Only those who can support women will see it differently.

As his fan, you have no idea how many times I said ‘again??’ when I saw his choice of works. As a polite, soft spoken professor, CEO, investor etc you know the same kinda characters. I wish he will explore more but for this drama he’s different. There’s something different about him here that I can finally see it. I gave this a chance because I like the combo but I don’t expext to like it this much. The chemistry and acting just worked here.
He also started trying different approach on Rising With the Wind but he’s just a support character there.
Now I look forward to his probably total different character on 19th Floor.

So far, I really like him & HRY’s performances in this drama. The synergy alone is worth to watch. It’s like they have mutual understanding of each other. Even on bts they’re fun to watch. He’s indeed different here from the other bts/drama I had watched him. More carefree and bubbly. Some viewers even asked whether they’re friends prior to this work because they really look close in bts.

tru, if someone said that ‘we’re not compatible’, I will be overthinking about it for a long time. It’s so hurtful to get that. Like which part is not suitable? did I lack too much compared to him? It’s like he’s saying we’re on different level. Gosh I can’t imagine it if someone said that to me.

The second time was when Veekit printed that ‘would you be my gf’ and asked Mirin to take it. That was quite cute.
All those oishi drink & candy PPL were unnatural and awkward. Thai drama should work on that.

I think some viewers are too harsh on FL because they just saw it from ML’s POV. He’s also drool worthy so yeah lol
Yes he’s sweet to her when he’s courting her but I get why FL is stubborn about it. It’s her self defense from being hurt again, she likes him for 4years after all. Him turning back that fast was too sudden for her to easily accept it.
I had watched a lot of time in cdrama, FLs are always heavily criticized that MLs. When she’s a dumb, doormat who follows around ML like a puppy while trying hard for the relationship to work, FL will get called stupid and men craze. But when FL is a strong headed with firm decision about her works etc like TX after he rejected her, she gets bashed like this. Some viewers just don’t want to understand the character, they just want their beloved MLs to be treated right all the time while throwing FL under the bus. So what if she’s acting coy? He gotta works more and put extra efforts for her, he said it himself after all, he will make up to her for all those 4years. Let him gave his efforts to chase her back. She had done her parts in the beginning anyway. Just because it’s not shown much, her efforts were being ridiculed for being obsessive & stalkerish. I don’t see the same viewers bashing ML for that, the double standard smh

This drama is legit his best acting performance imo and I had watched a lot of his works.
For FL, I had watched her in 2 works and I also think she did the best here, good emotional acting.
They both have good acting synergy and worked well together even on bts.

This ‘hot scene’ had been circulating on weibo since last week, followed by the elevator kiss. Since there’s no cut for the elevator kiss, we can expect the bed scene as well haha

I watched a lot of Miles Wei’s drama ever since Perfect & Casual and I wholeheartedly agree with you about Huang Riying. I will pick her as his best acting partner! The sizzling chemistry and acting synergy are so good between them. I think this is the best performance by Miles Wei as well. When they’re on screen together the sparks just fly. They look so good together too.
Before this I think Miles is cute with his acting partners but in this drama, they just surpassed my expectations. I’m surprised that I like their combination so much.
I had watched like 2 of HRY’s drama before this and yes, she did well even in badly written script (especially Wulin Heroes yikes) but his chemistry with Miles here is better. She’s a good actress to me, definitely can go far with better opportunities.

Yea I also agree about your insights regarding TY/TX’s relationship. I understand both TY & TX’s POVs tbh I appreciate them being truthful to each other now especially after ep17.
From the start, if people can notice it’s obvious that TY played along when TX flirted with him. Yes he’s slow with his feelings and I understand he took time to warm up to people but he’s definitely not that dense to realize TX was flirting with him. That scene when he’s cooking with her, he flirted back when he asked her to wipe his face and all. Knowing his personality, there’s no way he will let someone touching his face just like that. He also realized she’s ‘special and different’ but he took time to put the puzzles together.
There’s many other mixed signals he gave her until she made her decision to confess.

She did so so well tho for this drama, it wasn’t just ML carrying it. Even in weibo china, cnetz who are stingy with compliments keep complimenting both of the leads carrying this drama. FL is good from th start. Probably you just don’t like her character but she carried it so well. Her crying scenes are highly praised as well because she acted well and looks pretty when she cried.
I think it’s so unfair for you to say ML carrying this drama. I’m a fan of Miles Wei, I watched almost all of his works but I will give credit to Huang Riying’s performance in this drama. They truly worked well together and the chemistry just showed on the screen.
Her reactions during the fighting scene was appropriate, she’s glad to see him but she’s also hurting with injury and dizziness. Her teary eyes while looking at him were good. Miles still looks tender during the scene imo even while fighting but that’s just his expressions. He’s more to tender looking. But as his fan, I will pick this drama as his best acting from the others I had watched of him. His acting synergy with FL here is good compared to others. I felt like they both went all out. Prior to this, I had also watched the FL in a costume drama where she acted bubbly but she managed to not make it cringey which was good. But here, her emotional acting really shines, Miles too. I actually pick this FL as his best acting partner so far in term of chemistry and acting. Visually compatible as well.
Aside from them, other casts also did well with the acting here. They worked well to make this drama worked.

I agree because I can actually understand TX’s pov. She has been liking him for so long and when he suddenly started courting her after rejecting her, it felt too good to be true. It’s right for her to feel like he’s just on a whim because he’s used to her presence before this. Ep17 is really meaningful to both of them as they truly came clean about the secret. Tbh ‘we’re not suitable’ sounds so much like ‘we’re impossible’, especially when TY is on higher social status than TX. If definitely will hurt anyone’s self esteem. In the book, it’s described that TX made excuses with the confession because she wanted to save her face and self esteem. She felt like it will be more embarassing for her if he knows about her secret crush for 4years.
She will surely just move on and forget him if he didn’t pop up as her neighbour immediately after she resigned.

The only person with changing wardrobe in this drama is Tang Ding Ding. The other leads keep repeating their outfits. I wonder who’s the main leads here😅
