It’s 2023 and some of the elders are still like that, stuck with the same mentality. TY’s mom behaviour is not weird to me. I had seen them a lot among my relatives. In this era, being single is sometimes far better than having unhappy married life. Many people don’t want to get married or having kids by choice because it’s our life anyway. Those loud mouths won’t be responsible for our life if things went wrong anyway.

I have the same thought about Miles Wei. I first watched him on Perfect & Casual and I like him since then, after that his works were usually the same characters and I wish to see him venture more. BUT he’s really good at this kind of romcom and I still enjoy watching him anyway😂
EP11 is one of the episodes I repeated the drunk scene just to laugh at his innocent face doing all those comedic acting lol
He has really good chemistry with Huang Riying this time, they’re both good at acting and the synergy is there imo

yes up to ep11 I’m too engrossed with their filmmaking progress of TX’s book other than the romance. The romance is getting better along with the other plot. Btw since we won’t be getting new episode till next week, can you spoil to me how they will resolve TX’s book plagiarism issue? I believe other author plagiarized her since she lost her manuscript.

yup strong chemistry and they both can act/emote well. It’s good to see a cdrama where both leads can act their roles. One of the strongest reasons I stayed is because of them. Overall good acting from the casts of the drama except the sister, sometimes unnatural. The plot has cliche trope of romcom cdrama but many people love cliche anyway.

He’s also aggressive but so far none said anything about it. yea I found it cute in the drama but I won’t pretend it’s not creepy irl.

BTW SPOILER AHEAD, there will be a force kiss by him too inside the elevator soon but she will eventually give in, but initial reaction was resistance.

yea most of the time, cdrama adaptation butchered the original novel and the readers will get mad. I don’t read much c-novels so I won’t be able to compare. But according to others who had read this drama novel and from the reactions on weibo, the leads of this drama did well. They acted well with good visuals. The reader also been saying 90% the followed the novel closely, so it’s good so far.

yes intro, ending and bgm in the drama are all good to me. I didn’t even skip th into & ending songs sometimes because they sound nice and the lyrics are good too.

lol I agree with your points. I also watched this drama because of the leads tbh they have chemistry, they can act well and both of them look real good together. I’m in th mood to watch romance drama so this drama can give me that. I don’t like to watch leads who can’t act or emote when it comes to romance but the leads of this drama can carry that.

I also think the weakest acting in this drama is Ding Ding. Her acting is so unnatural even when she tried to act cute. It’s like I could see she’s saying ‘I’m acting now’ during her scenes and it didn’t help that she had a lot of scenes so far. Her weakness showed more because the people who she acted with can act well. Her acting will be saved if she acted with equally bad acting partners like some youth cdrama have but it won’t work in this drama. She’s attractive looking tho, girlie can improve more in the future. But her mouth area when she spoke reminds me of Wu Xuanyi from Sweet Teeth & Rising With The Wind, they both awkwardly moved their mouth😅

This drama plot is not anything special tbh it has cliche cdrama romance but many people love the cliche as long as they make it right. However I like the plot about adaptation of novel into film, the filmmaking process is quite interesting to watch.

Since most people here including me didn’t read the novel, many thought that LZX will like TX too. I was nervous because I didn’t get such vibe from him. I really like his professional relationship and friendship with TX. Glad that in ep10 he clarified that it’s just Feng Cheng’s wishful thinking, trying to matchmake them😆

ouh angst about TX’s parents? I look forward to that. So far both TX and TY’s families are so wholesome. Very cute parents.

ohh after looking at his list of dramas I noticed I had watched him on Sparkle Love but I don’t remember it anymore. But he’s really cute here. The comedic relief with his boss haha

This drama is also doing well so far in China, 3 days of airing, 20k index on Tencent which is good. The novel fans will be satisfied if they followed it closely.
