You totally should see her in her other ongoing tv drama which received good reviews in China now, Ray of Light. She’s totally high school student looking, her young face suits her age. She’s indeed still very young while filming TLP. And that’s actually what the producers of TLP wanted for ZY, a young actress with good acting skill. I had read interview about her being casted when this drama was announced.

I don’t want to know about the ending from spoilers that I know I will search for, might as well watching until the final eps myself😂

same I took so long to finish 1 episode because I kept repeating scenes and I don’t to finish watching too early, especially for SY-ZY scenes I can even recite their lines lol

Tencent don’t even care anymore with the amount of spoilers they’re leaking now, they will sell express for eps 35-40 so they just releasing every spoilers now except the ending, I saw too much already on twitter😌

things have gotten really interesting, this kind of built up needs a good binge-watch straight until final episode. I sometimes regret that I started watching so early since ep1 but it’s worth it.

I think by now she’s 17 and SY is 20 because 2 yrs had passed since they became master disciple. In the novel, they supposed to have 9yrs age gap tho, like real life XZ-RM. But I must admit XZ is looking 30s in this drama, nothing bad tho he looks so dashing as a mature priest. He should be looking mature.

I think their chemistry was truly chemistrying during the piggyback/mountain/firelies scenes tho, it’s truly felt. But it’s just my opinion, I respect yours.
Plus what to do with her looking young? She’s indeed young looking😆

Be ready for DSM and BXL becoming even more bitc*y next. Based on preview DSM is actively trying to match make SY with BXL. He’s such a weird master, I can’t believe he wants someone like BXL who almost get SY killed by ice clan as his empress. I bet ZY will misunderstand SY leaving his priesthood to become a crown prince back and he will need to marry Bai daughter, plus the bish DSM putting the idea into her head.

yup her acting alone carried Zhu Yan’s character well. In last 12 eps when the focused more on angst, her good acting will compliment XZ’s acting. She nailed emotional acting very well.

I personally think 2nd FL is more a nuisance to the drama because of her snitching every sides lol I can’t believe DSM wanted someone like her who almost get SY killed by ice clan as SY’s empress. She can kill him anytime for her life goal😆
btw she also looks too matured to pull of ZY’s character imo, her acting too wasn’t that good imo

ep8 above really picked up the pace. The earlier episodes just did built up for strong foundation of the drama. In later episodes, everything just combined well together with no plot holes because of earlier built up. So I think everything just become more believable because they spent some time in earlier episodes to make it makes sense.

Wrong filters will seriously ruin scenes imo even high budget drama will look cheap with wrong filters.
They should use the same tone/filter on The Long Ballad.

I may be bias because I’m big fan of Reba, I watched this for her. I watched till ep4 so far, still ongoing to watch but on 1st eps, I will be very honest…It looked like cheap drama with the production. I hate the bright filter they used, it’s even more brighter than iqiyi cheap dramas. I expected the production to be like The Long Ballad which imo very movie-like with the filters, effects and all. This drama is a letdown with production aspects which is a waste of A-list they have here. I can’t believe this is supposed to be S or S+ budget. Many people criticized the same thing about this drama.
But acting-wise, Reba and Liu Yuning shine imo. I’m not really a fan of Gong Jun but he’s okay here as crown prince. He has cute chemistry with Reba at least but I won’t lie, I kinda root for Anle/Ming Xi more😆
Liu Yuning will really blow up as an actor too. He can act aside from his good voice as singer.

I’m so proud that this drama opened with 8.4 on douban, it’s very high🥹 plus hit 10k youku heat index. It’s a hit in China.
Word of mouth will increase with this high score on douban. Soar higher Ray of Light!

same I think her voice is very soothing to hear, it’s very soft. I have liked her voice since her palace drama, Serenade of Peaceful Joy.
