Just saw episode 7 and all I have to say is that if Jun Ho doesn't get an award, I'm going to protest! ~ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But in all seriousness, his acting and his character is renewing my faith in k-dramas right now!
I've watched so many dramas that I am just at that point where I will drop a show so fast if I feel that I am losing interest in the storyline. Just the other day, I dropped two dramas because I noticed how I always needed another tab open just to keep myself from falling asleep during the show. In fact, that's always a telltale sign of whether or not you should drop a drama. If you find yourself engaged in other things when it's on, DROP IT!
They treated Baro's character like trash in the beginning-which was crazy because Baro is a k-pop star. That's the only thing that was a bit weird to me, especially since they ended up reviving him and making him more likable with no explanation as to how he improved. In the beginning, he was like the black sheep of the group: not only did he not have any close ties with the characters, he seemed, in fact, to be directly opposed to the male lead.
Wow, what a finale!!! Can we just talk about the fact that Bong Pil got on his knees when he proposed, which pretty much NEVER happens in k-dramas these days??!! (The hopeless romantic in me was freaking out and having a not-so-mini-meltdown.) Honestly, that ending added so much to what would've been an otherwise mediocre drama....
Given the nature of the show with its constant passageways in and out of time, we really didn't know what we were getting from the show or how it would end. But thankfully, by the time the last episode rolled around-we were able to see that the writers knew exactly what they were doing. That we weren't being strung along and led astray to a proverbial "dead end". But you would've only been able to see that light at the end of the tunnel (pun intended) if you had actually hung in there and stuck with it.
Why did I give 8.5 stars to a drama that would've ordinarily been at least a 9.5? Easy. There was simply too much risk. I don't want to have to guess whether or not a show will turn out well. I want to be able to know or at least have a feeling that the characters will find peace and clarity by the time the final episode airs and I just didn't get that from this drama. I enjoyed the rollercoaster but unfortunately, I don't think I want to ride it again.
My favorite thing about South Korea is their love and appreciation for their elders. Grandmothers and grandfathers are often life's greatest pleasures <3
Really deep and really emotional stuff right here-I just got finished watching the first two episodes and I can honestly say that I have never seen this much dark intensity in a k-drama. I expect nothing less from an OCN drama, but this is a lot, even for them. Personally, I think that a lot of the scenes are hard to cope with but they still keep you watching to see what will happen next. One thing's for sure, this drama will definitley get you hooked.
I don't really find him all that attractive but I developed a new level of respect for him when I saw him act in Guardians. I mean, he KILLED that role!
YESS I love KTH so much, but he doesn't get the screen time he deserves! Thank you for putting the spotlight on him and his cute dimples! ^_^ (Hopefully, those directors will do the same.) Over 40 and he could still get it ~ JS
