i honestly feel 100% the same way you do like i thought it should have been so much more heartbreaking but it was a lot more light and airy. im not saying that it wasn't a good movie but like i just thought it was missing something tbh.

dont watch this if you're new to jj's dramas cause this does not portray him in the best light! watch him in triangle instead and i promise you you won't regret it. the ending might just kill you but the entire show as a whole really showcases how much talent that pretty boy has!
after watching triangle i expected so much from jaejoon but this show didn't do it for me! i don't really blame him so much as i blame the writers for making the plot so freaking predictable and stupid. (am i the only one who hated the love interest and was geniuinely pissed that she got to see jj at the end...i don't think so!) that being said, his performance did start to die towards the last couple episodes (he just kept breathing too much) along with some of the actors who also could have done better. and the main thing is that even though this drama is called 'spy' there is not much "spying" that is actually going on! all we get is that the mom used to be a spy back in the day but that's it. wouldn't it have made the drama so much more interesting if jaejoon had decided to spy for the North?! sure he would have been part of the bad guys, but he also could have easily been made into a double agent. this show had a lot of potential in the beginning but they just didn't deliver in the end. that being said, great great OST, Ruby's key to her heart was freaking perfection! every time they played it, i would almost start crying!

It was on gooddrama.net, the subs weren't THAT bad (I've seen worse especially on myasiantv.com) but they could have been better. I got the gist of what was going on but I really just didn't wanna watch it thru dramafever and have to pay!

id also like to address some of the comments about the different aspects of the movie that contributed to its MA rating. so first things first, it should not really be a surprise to anyone that they had all kinds of graphic images in the film because as i mentioned earlier the movie has a MA rating. I know it was a shock to some of his more innocent fans but the boy is a man and eventually he will come to desire other things for his acting career. that being said, i think the film really could have done without some of the nudity scenes. a lot of it was just uncalled for and it took away the from the seriousness of the film. im not saying that you should give it a low rating because of the maturity itself, but you should give it a low rating because that maturity hindered the plot's progression.
this movie wasn't all that great to me, the fact that they lived together and that they were both in denial about the fact that they loved each other kinda took away some of the romance to me. there were some cute things about the film but overall, ive seen better!
I agree with you about a lot of things. I too was turned off by the fact that it would be yet another vampire drama, cause after watching the first season of Vampire Prosecutor, I did not want to go down that road again. But I gotta say that this drama is really proving itself. It's not too over the top to where you're just sitting there shaking your head at all the ridiculousness that would never happen in real life. Yes it's a drama about a vampire, but it's not a fictitious vampire drama. The writers have managed to take an old myth and put a spin on it that makes it believable. They have presented the topic as if it is something that has been backed by science and can be explained logically. And that's what keeps me tuned in every week. Now as far as Goo Hye Sun's outfits go, I'm done and I'm over it. I keep thinking they're going to eventually give us a reason as to why she has been dressed so badly but it has not come yet. So I am not going to press the issue further. The overall acting is not the best, but it's not bad enough to the point that it takes away from the drama. And this is coming from a very judgmental person (I will not watch a k-drama where the acting is bad because I refuse to torture myself!). Although I am a bit bias because I have loved him since 'You're All Surrounded', I think the frontman is doing an excellent job in portraying a vampire who desires to be human. I am just happy that they let him take on this role as a rookie. The desire of wanting to be human is also another aspect that I like about this show.
