Should've pushed to 16 episodes
Don’t get me wrong—I really loved the storyline. The characters were so well written, and the emotional moments hit hard. But I do feel like it was missing something, probably because it was only 12 episodes. There was still so much more they could’ve shown, especially when it comes to their dreams and how far they’ve come.
I just think it would’ve been so much more satisfying if we got to see Seong-ah actually graduate and take that next step toward her future. That kind of closure would’ve made her journey feel complete. And with Gyeonu, how amazing would it have been to see him finally play at the Olympics—achieving his dream—with Seong-ah there in the crowd, cheering him on? Even ending the series with him winning gold and putting the medal around Seong-ah’s neck would’ve been such a meaningful moment. It would’ve tied everything together perfectly—from him quietly leaving medals in her drawer to finally placing one on her himself. It would’ve shown just how much they’ve grown, both individually and together.
