if they were truly disappointed the success wouldn't continue up to now. being disappointed in the director doesn't mean they are disappointed with the script or Linghe's acting. otherwise the viewership wouldn't keep going higher. heat meters for tencent & iqiyi keep rising.

his acting in overdo is masterful. he did not disappoint me one bit. as for camera work and shiz, i dun care, if a plot has me hooked, i always ignore the camera work. also the republican era dramas are usually like this. but there reality is that even with the negative reviews, the financial success of the drama is immense. and he plays his role with excellence.

i m on ep 30 and got tired of the drama. leshan is the most annoying sister of them all. thougg only 3rd & 5th sister truly annoyed me. but leshan is too violent.

i like it but i wouldn't call it a 9-10/10 .. more like 7.5/10.

The drama is exciting, it has a fast pace and it's now slow and boring. the acting is great. i had tears in my eyes every time something heart wrenching happened. it is a drama with strong emotions and it brings to light social issues. these points are enough for me to keep watching a drama. but i don't care if someone will watch it or not. i don't care if someone dislikes it either. that's their business. but some people are obviously purposefully disliking this drama because "zlh only has great chemistry with txw" is their motto. and that's just not true. and frankly, i would be stupid to rely on someone else's review when i can decide on my own if i will give a drama a chance. i don't care if others will watch it or not. but watching only 3-4-5 episodes of a drama and rating low? that is ridiculous in my book.

i think so too. it's the zlh and txw CP fans that are causing this problem for this drama yet still, the number of viewers speak louder.

the funny thing is though, that even if there was backlash on the first day, later on the drama climbed higher in the heat meter and so people still kept watching it. xD it was i think after episode 9 that the intro was changed

the rating should def be at 8+

Let me just tell you until the end of the drama she was stupid. i agree with what you said. she became resentful when he rejected the consummation. "oh you won't do it with me? then i hate you now" >.> .... then she went and played with the emperor of jinxiu.... a weird kind of game it was. i was appaled by her character. and i think suige really spoiled his lil sister a bit too much. she is one of the most anoyingly stupid characters i have ever watched. TWICE she threatened people with her life to get what she wants. She did it in front of her brother ... so ready to discard her life over xia jingshi... and then she did it again so she can see her brother... i was appaled at that moment too.

i have already watched it. ... i usually watch dramas within 2-3 days... i finish one drama every 2-3 days but >_> fated hearts took me 14 days to finish lol. there was too much stupidity from the princess and jingshi and the emperor of susha that i just had to keep taking long breaks. i am allergic to stupidity.

i knew it was going to be like this. cause some weirdos kept leaving comments elsewhere against wang chu ran. but see, they cannot really scrutinize wang chu ran now only, so they have to pick apart the possible visual effects and the camera work. unless a camera work is really awful , i dun care about it. now even this meng qiqi made a post to say her opinion u_u. you know, the usual attention seeker screenwriter. she was the one who said bailu had her replaced from the last jasmine screenwriters panel. then a few days later she apologized saying it was a misunderstanding u_u

My MAIN issue with her is HOW she ended up falling in love with someone she saw once in the desert who left her there with lil water and was uncertain if she would even be found before the water runs out. the reason she fell in love is stupid af. u_u she saw him ONCE and she knew she wanted to marry him? Sure women do tend to think they can change someone BUT, at least, this kind of thinking comes after they are already in a relationship, or they have had some kind of communication with that person. not because they saw him once... i won't mention the decision to leave Susha with him...

THIS!!! i just cannot fathom such an annoying and absolutely person existing in drama land. i just cannot. i have seen my fair share of annoying characters, but this one? this one is just impossible. i have to stop watching whenever she does or say something stupid becausemy blood pressure cannot handle it. i am utterly appaled. dis idiot of a princess, with no fighting skill, went to war when young, dressed up as a man, ended up in some deserted area out of her sheer stupidity, and because he did not kill her, and just gave her some flask of water, she fell in love. and even worse, she said HE SAVED HER. bro left her in the desert with just a bit of water not even knowing if she would live until someone finds her or until she gets back to civilization and basically her brother found her , and only because of that she survived. had suige NOT found her within two days but later, she would have died. then, she sees this dude gives 0 shiz about her, it's obvious, but nooooooo she insists marrying him and helping him go back to his fief. the sheer stupidity, the level of brain damage she has is beyond my understanding. love-brained fool. another idiot in this story with bad advice (classic for the bestie of a female lead), is this doctor girl, the daughter of lord ling. her input and advice are always wrong.

i loved it so far. i teared up a few too many times already -sigh-. i'll have to buy more tissues just in case. the acting is great, i luv it. the aesthetics als. i am not much of a connoisseur when it comes to camera work so i have nothing to say about that. wang chu ran and linghe's chemistry is there, and i think the deeper we go the more intense it will be.

the negativity only comes from the hardcore poj fans i suspect. i loved poj too, but i am not biased against zlh having collaborations with other actresses.

I know right? I think that the txw x zlh co fans just cannot stand watching him with other actresses. O_O they might have something against wang chu ran. i think they did a great job actually. the drama is great so far. sure, his mom and other characters are annoying and vile but this doesn't make the drama bad.

this drama feels like it has copied the basic premise of "glory"... the fl in this has basically the same personality of the fl, and the ml in this drama has same kind of simp levels as minhao had in "glory".
