Title Desire Catcher Spoiler
WHAT DID HE DO? I watched it but only got the part where he altered his memories of Xiao Lu's death and then watched…
Luo Fei only agreed to the hypnotism to deal with the painful memories of his deceased colleague. When someone is under hypnotism- they are absolutely vulnerable to any manipulation of memories. While he got Luo Fei under this state and dealt with the painful memories of his deceased colleague, he used the opportunity to find out what he knew about his mother's death. He didn't know that Luo Fei was there and the memory implies that Luo Fei caused his mother's death and ran off. But we know he didn't cause her death so the other view is that he ran off and left her to die (but even then, there must be more to it than what he saw). So it is a betrayal to Luo Fei in prying into a memory that he either repressed/didn't want to think about it and also didn't give Lu Feng Ping permission to look into it either.

Don’t tell me one of them dies, NO NO NO. My heart and brain cannot handle it after kill me heal me and guardians.…
I worry it is likely lu Feng Ping..there is a scene in one of the trailers/ost showing Luo Fei in his car with his hand on a container of lollypops. Then there are hints that he will get into a dark space while searching for the truth behind his mother's death. I worry too.

Am I the only one who thought the voice of the mystery man who spoke to Lin Rui Lin in episode 6 was the voice…
It's not his voice and it can't be him either. He was with the police when Lin Rui Lin escaped and was in that alleyway.

So far, I am liking the series. I honestly expect ZYC's character to have a more prominent role in the investigations…
Not a lot. It got more in ep 9. Seeing the preview for next episode, it gets better when they finally start talking about their personal suffering more.

Title Desire Catcher Spoiler
Thoughts on ep 1-10
So far, I am liking the series. I honestly expect ZYC's character to have a more prominent role in the investigations than he currently is in. We barely get to see him do his 'magic'. I expect there will be more later on but having watched almost half the series being done, I would have expected more earlier on instead.

I don't feel like the story is moving fast or slow but if I ask myself what took place in 10 episodes- can easily sum it up in a paragraph. Not much plot movement going on. The mystery man is giving me a Moriarty vibe. Counselling others to exact revenge - for what purpose? Don't really know. He appears to be a rich and young man (assuming some social status) Does he see himself as a savior to helping others realize their own ambitions?

I like the bromance level here. But there is little in understanding the characters themselves- who is Luo Feng Ping and Luo Fei? Beyond a shared tragic past - not much has been explained. This is a short 24 episode drama and I feel that all is going to be rushed and packed in the later episodes.

Seven deadly sins- counselling others to exact their own revenge- that's not new. The idea of hypnotism being used is unique - perhaps the only unique aspect of this series.

Who is the little girl in the child abduction case that appeared at the beginning of the drama? Is it Xia Meng…
the seven deadly sins is already evident in the first case of homicides. They were hypnotized but all three of them died from one of their own seven deadly sins.

The story is well paced, well edited, and never boring to watch. The story line is good so far.I saw Xin Yun Lai,…
I'm used to see ZYC in serious roles where he barely cracks a smile. Here, it's refreshing to see a quirky character and he does it really well. I've not seen Xin Yun Lai before so I am open to him but I honestly, keep on seeing Deng Lun in him. I hope I am not the only one too.

We can hope that Desire Catcher might prompt Youku to actually release the rest of Justice in the Dark, right?…
My thoughts exactly. Maybe if other Bromance tagged dramas are released and not draw negative criticisms, we may get JITD back. Can only hope. That being said, I am excited for a new Bromance drama. I had to go back to rewatching Under The Skin to help me.

if anything youku has it's audacity. they behaved exactly the same when they deleted Word of Honor series and…
There is actually a 2nd sequel to Yin Yang Master that was filmed. I'm not sure if Netflix bought it but for sure it won't air in China because of the tax evasion scandal with Deng Lun.

ah...I've been wondering about that drama...is it an original work or adaptation?? can't stand it whenever I see…
I'm the same. Other dramas hasn't helped distracting me. Nothing But You is the best so far to do that but I've been rationing it to wait for JITD. At least for me, two of Chen Xiao's dramas are rumored to air on the 6th and 25-27th. The latter being The Ingenious One - can't wait for it.

i dont understand why they have to hold jitd just to giving way to another drama (if thats really the case) 😭😭…
I don't even understand why they only released 8 episodes and then stop altogether. I'm sure the Blackpink scandal caused some delay in re-editing certain frames (I read they had to go back to do that). At this point, I think it was multiple reasons that contributed to the hiatus. All the conferences are done and the rumors I see is that we don't need to wait long. Although I don't know how 'long' is not too long either.

It's not disrespectful to wish someone have a healthy weight but go ahead and be that sensitive.

My own theory- Youku is massively promoting Till the End of the Moon with Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu. No doubt it will be a hit like Starry Love if not more. If they want to continue to keep JITD quiet, they would slip it in during their airing schedule which covers the rest of April and into early May. I know they are different genres but if the idea is to keep a low profile, perhaps this is the way to do it.

I know Luo Yun Xi puts in 110% in his roles particularly for xianxia/wuxia dramas. I just wished he put on some weight. He does nearly all of his stunt work and he has gotten injured before. He is very dedicated and hardworking. Seeing the BTS for some of his action scenes, it shows how much work he puts into it.

Gosh, I love how Youku is having a strategy this time and not airdropping stuff..This shows they have full faith…
Trailer makes it look dark and seems like many times will be tear jerking for numerous couples. They are already showing some BTS clips even before the first episode is aired. Normally, we don't see the BTS till during the airing schedule. The CGI looks very good, production quality seems high. I expect this drama is met to be a big hit given the cast.

i swear my theory is so right..... best way to develop young up and coming male leads is just pair them up with…
Leo Wu is a young actor only by age. He's been acting since he was like 5 years old. He has a lot of dramas under his belt. He has more acting experience than some of the matured FLs he's paired with. My theory with Leo Wu is that he has had great mentors during his acting career- most notably is Hu Ge. Leo does well even without a strong FL. If you saw him in Crossfire and Our Times - very light romance but extremely well with the bromance.

Title Romance of a Twin Flower Spoiler
ML getting stabbed/hurt way too many times it's getting redundant and FL was a bit too useless.
My biggest pet peeve is when FLs are absolutely powerless (unable to fight) and yet, they dash out to danger to be by MLs' side forcing the ML to always get hurt just to save the FL. I always cringe. The whole point of asking FL to stay put was to stay out of danger but here, twice, she goes out, gets caught and ML gets hurt. Sigh.
