Title Back from the Brink Spoiler
I read from weibo that they will get back together ep 21 Lol, so 4 eps to bear :D
So next Wednesday. We have a week of agony until then.
On Back from the Brink May 18, 2023
Guys, after we get over this angst in episode 17, it shouldn't last too long. There are still other lovable and cute moments to come based on the earlier trailer clips. It just makes their relationship all the more precious. Once we get over the fact that he needed her to help him regain his powers (and gets his powers back), his only need for her would be pure and it would only be for love. Ep 16-17 is necessary to pave the road for the rest of the episodes.

Anyone knows if there will be new episodes in the weekend?
Not according to the schedule. After tomorrow's episode, 2 new ones resume on Monday

Just one encounter of YH finding him, i am not sure was it because of true love or what she gave, her genuine…
That one encounter is very significant for him. He was trapped in that darkness, entranced by the never ending counting but it was YH who went to look for him and she was able to get him out of that trance

My theory is as we can see Musheng is on the verge of dying, SY will use the little elves in order to blackmaiL…
Sounds very probable. Also makes sense for the scenes to come where he feels obligated to protect her from her sect when she is seen as 'evil'.
On Romance on the Farm May 17, 2023
Trailer is hilarious. Seeing TXW brings me back to New Life Begins - equally hilarious character and also about food and farming. I hope they dub themselves.

Title Back from the Brink Spoiler
He can't get his heart protection scale back yet. There is a seal on it that he can't break and even if he could,…
He lied to her to say it was just a scale so that she would lower her guard around him. In the 1st episode, when he forcibly removed it, SY said that without it, his powers are greatly reduced. He will eventually need it back if he wants to regain the power he once had and he will need that power back to go up against SY and whatever evil that has yet to materialize.

Did Starry, Blood of Youth and others drama also have this kind of schedule ? , 1ep for almost everyday. I know…
1 ep a day is cruel to us shippers but it beats the usual schedule of a 3-4 day only release and having to wait days for new episodes. Painful.

So i observed the black outfit Ty is wearing in ep 15 preview is the same one which is seen in the scene when…
He can't get his heart protection scale back yet. There is a seal on it that he can't break and even if he could, removing it will kill YH so unless he finds a way to keep her alive, he won't be attempting again to retrieve it. He most definitely will need to get it back but my guess is later on in the drama where it gets even more angsty.

When I first saw the trailer, I came for Lee Dong Wook but I've been firmly staying because of Kim Bum. I never saw season 1 but in the first episode, I was immediately attracted to his character and simply can't get enough. Then there is the actress who plays Hong Joo - haven't seen a korean female character this intriguing and full of mystery in a long time. ep 4 was full of mix scenes of humor. From the 'date' between Lee Rang and Miss Mermaid, to the 3 dads of the Foundling. The bickering of the Lee Brothers needs an extended version because I can't get enough of it and now throw in Shin Ju. Each episode has been so intriguing. Haven't seen such an addictive K drama in over a year.
On Desire Catcher May 11, 2023
I expected the ending to be better. I expected the drama to be better than what the trailer had it as. I thought there would be more hypnotic moments and questionable grey areas. The ending as I had predicted just fell flat. The endgame doesn't make sense to me. It started out pretty good, the first case. There were moments of cute bromance but it was overall disappointing for me. Stealth Walker with ZYC was much better even when there was hardly any romance but his character had more depth there. It's also 24 episodes but a heck lot more storytelling.
On Back from the Brink May 9, 2023
I've been eagerly waiting for this drama to air. I missed Neo Hou since his last drama with Leo Wu (Our Times). This styling for Neo is one of my faves. 1st episode looks good. Also missed seeing Yang Rong and indeed, she does the best cruel female roles out there.
On Desire Catcher May 8, 2023
At this point, it's only ZYC that's holding my attention to finish the drama. XYL, at first I didn't mind him too much but at a crucial scene that he said was most impactful for him (the reed marsh), I found his acting too hollow. As I had predicted, the storyline about finding his mother's killer was built up with tension and then fell flat. I see the same happening when it comes to the antagonist. It's too bad that this drama had an interesting premise and there is a lot of potential. I expected more crimes associated with hypnotism and/or use hypnotism to solve crimes (if I am sounding like what I saw in Under the Skin, yes. Art was front, right, centre and everywhere. That was the theme!).
On Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 May 8, 2023
I have to say, for someone who didn't watch S1, I can follow through S2 very well. 2nd episode was so packed with action. So much is going on and yet, it flows pretty nicely. I love Lee Rang's new hairstyle. I also love how Lee Yeon acts as a protective older brother and cherishing his 1 month time he has with Lee Rang. The comedy in this is refreshing. It's not slap stick/stupid comedy but it's quite natural. I'm not bored for a single second. Hope it keeps up this sort of action packed episodes.

Title Desire Catcher Spoiler
Episode 18 what was that ?? So after faking his death he didn't even get his revenge so what's the point ?
I still don't get the 'faking death' part. I can't see the utility other than it was to buy LFP some time while he found the killer and attempted to do his own justice. Even then, it was rather over the top to achieve that. Surely he could of use a different, less reckless means but as the storyline goes- it had to justify a 20 min character memory lane.

Title Desire Catcher Spoiler
I really liked the last two episodes even though the script-writers are still leaving us in the dark as to how…
I was assuming Hu PanPan was the girl who was raped in the 1st episode and LFP's mother tried to save her but got killed by the rapist. She would be the only person who had seen his face. I can't think of her being any other significance. She fits the age too.

tbh this show is not what I've expected, not a crime show that i really wished to see and...smth is off about…
smth is off. If you look very carefully and deeply, it can be frustrating. For me, it's not the subtitles- I can understand Mandarin. I feel the main story arc is about the hypnotist (the mystery man in blur who suddenly shows his face without fanfare) and how he has been counselling others to commit crimes but then we are seemingly distracted with LFP and his personal search to find his mother's killer. The drama is at 60% and we are still no closer to the mystery on motive and who the mystery man is beyond that he's rich and has some social status. Maybe it feels wrong as the main drive of LFP appears to take a secondary/back seat to the main story arc. We only saw what he was up to in flashbacks while the perspective of LF is present and centre.

If I have to compare this to Under The Skin - the main mystery and the other cases are told more cohesively. That show only had 20 episodes, yet it was packed with more crime solving cases than Desire Catcher. It took them a solid 10 episodes to get through the first crime story out of 24 episodes. I'm predicting that the ending is going to be a bit rushed, mystery unfolds to simplicity and the build up of tension will just fall flat. I am still watching these to get to the more angst scenes between the leads but other than that, it hasn't been as good as the trailer shows it to be.
