do I have to watch season 1 do understand season 2 ?
Nope! The cases in S2 aren't related (so far) to S1. S1 is just important to watch if you wanna know why the main characters are married in the beginning of S2.
People still commenting while watching means the drama is still worth it.Otherwise, they’d have dropped it already.…
Not the one you replied to but I got curious. Which Justice Bao and Song Ci dramas do you mean/recommend? Google says there's a Taiwanese Justice Pao drama from 1993 and Witness to a Prosecution 1&2 and Judge of Song Dynasty 1&2 from the early 2000s. I'd possibly like to watch them if they're available cause they seem like classics from 20-30 years ago lol.
As for STOTD I actually started watching as a fan of the genre and it is sadly the most boring case-solving cdrama I've seen so far, I'm surprised people praise it. But if it works for people then that's cool. I just don't feel hooked enough to binge S1 and I'll see if I can finish it or drop it (I'm at ep 28).

There's more of them on YouTube? gosh... (EDIT: I plan to watch #that drama too cause TIC made me a fan of the genre but I'll have no desire to interact with the fandom if they're acting immature smh)

True. I understand people can be disappointed but I don't think it's as irredeemable as the opinions suggest, the franchise is already underrated as is...
Is Father Jing = Jingyi's dad? Why seems different? 😅
different actor but same voice as Senior Jing's voice in S1, so, a recast! I'm glad they finally brought him back, but if they were gonna recast him, he could've appeared earlier gosh XD
This thing is only 28 episodes and we still have so much ground to cover. I really hope they don't rush the ending.…
I kinda disagree with there being a lot of ground to cover, they basically know You Chen'An wasn't innocent so they just need to capture him in the next 1-2 eps then whatever big clash will happen will happen in 3-4 eps then 1 happy ending ep, HOPEFULLY haha
i don't care if he's innocent or if he's doing it all for nanzhao hE IS NOT WORTH WU JIANG'S LIFE and jing yi's freedom... RIP Wu Jiang T_T really hate the fact that he died
Did a bit of a rewatch and I just love love LOVE ep 8's dialogue between Xiao Jinyu and Jing Yuan. "I have already let go of that woman, so why are you still holding on to her?" … "Everything begins with intention." 🤌🤌
The same ep also ended strongly with drunk Xiao Jinyu 🤣🤣🤣
And aside from the cute confrontation scene where Jinyu and Chu Chu get to talk about their issue, I love how Chu Chu tells him, "You are always like this. You forget your own kindness the moment you give it.…But that's alright. I have kept your kindness clearly in my heart." 🫶
I want to see Tang have an advantage finally not just peacock and the king of the opposing country.
That's what I've been waiting for as well. S1 had Xiao Jinyu and Chuchu figure out things more quickly. Here, they seem to have met their match. Not a bad thing but it makes it feel like our cast can't solve anything even though they can 🤧
Am I the only one enjoying this so far even if the story hasn't lived up to S1 standards??
I've been watching Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty with my dad and he already dropped it (surprisingly) whilst I am trying to slowly continue it. But with The Imperial Coroner S2 I'm having no problem looking forward to each new episode 🥹
Happy watching (:

Making it seem like the production team is pushing the CP when they're just releasing BTS 🙄
