About the rating of this drama: I see a lot of people seem confused. I had the same questions before, but a user on MDL explained it to me, and over time I’ve seen the same pattern repeat across many dramas.
MDL ratings generally move through two stages: unranked and ranked. Every drama starts in the unranked phase, where the rating algorithm is very simple, mostly just a weighted average of the votes. During this phase, you’ll usually see the drama sitting somewhere around rank 50,000–60,000. After a certain period (20%-50% of the episodes) or votes (200-500 votes) that drama enters into ranked phase. At that moment, the overall rank suddenly jumps to below 10,000. For very popular dramas, it can even jump to around 500.
In the ranked phase, MDL uses a more complex algorithm. It considers multiple variables: weighted average, number of votes, verified-user ratings, dropped-user ratings, activity, and more. It’s almost guaranteed that the rating will drop at the beginning of this phase. The biggest reason is the number of votes, which heavily influences the final score.
For example, you might have an average of 8.5, but with only 200 votes, the displayed rating could be 7.9 or 8.0. With the same average but 10,000 votes, the displayed rating might be around 8.4. There are other factors, but the vote count is the main reason for the temporary drop.
This cycle happens in about 99% of dramas, except for massively popular Korean dramas that get 10,000 votes on the first day. So I understand the frustration from viewers, but honestly, you just have to wait. That’s how the system works.
As for this drama, it’s good and definitely doesn’t deserve a 7.9 rating. Hopefully, it will rise soon. Haha, I wrote a lot. I might copy‑paste this explanation into other drama threads in the future.

For other dramas, I would probably say the same. But for this one, I actually liked that she talked to the FL about it. I don’t think she said those things because she likes him or wants to create conflict between the main leads.
Honestly, the leads are terrible at personal communication. They never share their struggles with each other. In situations like that, friends usually step in. But here, both leads share the same group of friends, and those friends seem to have conflicts of interest and don’t want to get too involved.
The FL has her sister, who supports her interests. ML needs someone too. I genuinely believe ML’s boss cares about him. ML lost opportunities before at work, kind of ruined his life and is still wasting chances because of the FL. The boss actually cares about him and doesn’t want to see him get hurt again and make reckless decisions. I think she was very polite to the FL. She just said what the FL needed to hear, so FL should be take careful approach about ML. She’s not like the typical 2FL in other dramas. I actually like her approach here.
I liked today’s episode a lot. It was so nice to see them finally get together and share some sweet moments. I wish all the episodes were like that. At least tomorrow’s episode should be good, I’m not sure about the ones after that.

I’d like to ship them too, but I think Dr. Fang lives in Shanghai, right? There’s no real interaction between them. I’d rather ship Yin Jie with the new vice General Manager who replaces the ML's position in the company later in the story.
Read the novel last week, and I was a bit worried about how fast the story is progressing. At this rate, the drama will be at most 30 episodes. After watching the episode 17 trailer, it seems like they’re adding extra content that wasn’t in the novel. They’ll probably throw in some unnecessary drama with the 2ML and 2FL that nobody wants to see. These drama writers never miss an opportunity to create pointless side‑drama with second leads, sigh.

She went to Jeju to find her sister, but later completely forgot about her and didn’t care at all about her whereabouts, haha. Some might think the writers and director forgot about it, but it actually fits her characterization perfectly. This is exactly the kind of thing DaRim, our FL, would do.
Disappointing, I dislike the FL even more now. The drama is going downhill and nothing in this drama makes sense anymore. It's episode 13 and almost the end of the drama. But the episode is filled with filler scenes and unnecessary cliches.
I watched the first 10-12 episodes before and then dropped it. This weekend I watched the last two episodes (39 and 40). The drama seems better now, and I actually kind of like it. Should I go back and watch the episodes I skipped? I feel like I already know most of the plot.
A very good episode. It’s nice to see ML and FL getting back together. But the past events annoyed the hell out of me. The reason FL left ML was so underwhelming. Yes, she had her reasons, but they weren’t enough to justify leaving without saying anything. It was both selfish and irresponsible of her. Is she still the same selfish and irresponsible person as before? And why is ML still so obsessed with her? There are a lot of questions that need answers. Also, the company drama and the elder sister’s Alzheimer’s subplot don’t help. Still, it felt good to see both ML and FL happy. Hopefully, we’ll get some sweet moments next week.

I think this is intentional. His life is still stuck, and he doesn't care much about himself. We might see later in the story that when he moves on and starts taking better care of himself, he will start wearing suits that actually fits him.
