Bad news for anti-romance fans. It looks like the FL is developing a crush on the ML. From ML's side there is nothing yet, but who knows? It seems like the drama is heading toward romance. I don't mind romance to be a minor plot tbh.
looks like the Eun Oh and Lee Tae Ran have some kind of "relationship" . mom -daughter ? but she already…
It looks like that. She was actively searching for her and she seemed happy when she found her. So possibly they are mother and daughter or could be someone in her family. She has another daughter. This is her second marriage. Possibly she had FL in her first marriage. 2ML is her step son and 2ML and FL are not related by blood. 2ML's younger sister would be FLs half sister. Well, everything is my guess right now. We will see
2ML and ML younger sister? What if 2ML and FL are siblings?
Well, I don't thing 2ML and ML younger sister will happen. 2ML is very close to ML's family. With the short interaction showed in ep1, i didn't see anything remotely between them. Possibly they are siblings. My guess is they are step siblings. 2ML's mother is dead. Thats his step mother. The step mother was married before. So likely she had FL in her first marriage. Just my guess. We will see.
Just watched the first episode, and overall, it was a good start. For some reason, I found it hard to follow all the characters, maybe too many were introduced in the first ep. All the young supporting characters looked quite similar to me. I found it a bit difficult to distinguish them, but it will get better with more episodes. Anyway, overall, I’d say it was a promising start.
It seems like there will be a love triangle among ML, FL, and 2ML. I’m not sure how I feel about that. Let’s see how it unfolds. From the preview of episode 2, it looks like there might be a couple forming between ML’s younger brother and 2ML’s younger sister. The other potential couples haven’t been hinted at yet. But my guesses are: 2ML and FL’s friend (who works at the cafe), and ML’s younger sister with FL’s younger brother (both are immature btw).
And what was that ending in episode 1? Is there already a birth secret? I really don’t like that idea, especially this early in the drama.
The first two episodes were very good. I really like the overall premise, and the first two cases were well-executed. As for the discussion around romance, based on what we've seen so far, I do think there will be some romantic elements in this drama, but likely very subtle.
Romance was a minor theme in the first two episodes. The ML lost his wife and still misses her deeply. The FL recently broke up with a boyfriend who never respected her for who she is. Clearly, both characters need some emotional healing, especially when it comes to romance. So yes, there will likely be some romantic development, but I hope they keep it minimal and focus more on legal aspects.
Overall, this is a very good drama, and I'm looking forward to the next episodes!
Wow, can’t believe another 6–7 months flew by and another weekend drama has come to an end. Overall, it was very good. It brought back that classic weekend drama vibe we’ve been missing for the past few years. I really missed that feeling. Well, I can't say the drama was without its faults. I kind of lost interest in the last 10–15 episodes and skipped a few parts. But still, the quality stayed pretty solid throughout. Definitely one of the better weekend dramas in recent years. I’d say it’s up there with the best weekend dramas from the last 4–5 years. Well, now it’s time to wait for the next one. Fingers crossed, hope the next one will be good or might be better.
The drama could have been better, but overall, it was enjoyable. Viewers were disappointed because many were craving a romcom with a food theme, and expectations were much higher after the first four episodes. The blame entirely falls on the writer. The actors and visuals were great.
I absolutely loved Go Min Si in this drama, she looked stunning in several scenes. Some criticized her acting, but to be honest, I found it decent and even better than some other popular actresses. Often, we don’t notice these things when the story compensates for them. She will likely improve in the future, and I hope to see her again in a romcom with a good storyline.
Overall, the drama is good. I recommend it. But better not to have high expectations. Just enjoy it without thinking too much. It is very much enjoyable if we ignore some stuff and try not to find fault in everything.
I'm really craving a good romantic drama with a food or restaurant theme, but they are so rare. If anyone knows any, please recommend one!
This drama doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. But hey, it’s a drama. It doesn’t always have to make sense. People watch it for the entertainment and romance, not the other things. Too bad this drama failed in that aspect as well. Don't know how they can give some satisfaction to the viewers in only 1 episode remaining.
Don't know what to say. I'm disappointed. Knew this was coming. But it was heartbreaking to see both Yeon Ju and Beom U crying. To be honest, ML had it coming to him. I'm not disappointed about his initial intention or the recipe thing. I'm mad about his sheer incompetence. How could he let it happen? How could the Motto chef and his assistant steal the recipes literally in front of his eyes? He couldn't do anything, he could not do anything in front of anybody (his mother, his staff). Nobody gives a damn about him. Don't know how they can fix him in the last 2 episodes.
They know they messed up big time. Now, trying to retain the ratings by giving some hope to the viewers. Ep 7 will be a mess, but something to hope for ep 8. Good thing is, in ep 8, they are back in Korea. It seemed like ML was still feeling guilty and trying to say something. That implies FL didn't know about the recipe thing yet.
I don't think Yeon Ju is even a bit swayed by her ex. I think her sudden trip has sth do to with the Japanese…
I believe most of us viewers want to watch a simple, beautiful drama. We are here to not judge who is a saint or who is not. Just want less angst possible. You might be correct, she is not that swayed by her ex anymore. But her ex will create more drama in the next episode. I'm not sure if she can draw a clear line between them. Let's hope they fix these issues in the next episode.
