This drama doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. But hey, it’s a drama. It doesn’t always have to make sense. People watch it for the entertainment and romance, not the other things. Too bad this drama failed in that aspect as well. Don't know how they can give some satisfaction to the viewers in only 1 episode remaining.
Don't know what to say. I'm disappointed. Knew this was coming. But it was heartbreaking to see both Yeon Ju and Beom U crying. To be honest, ML had it coming to him. I'm not disappointed about his initial intention or the recipe thing. I'm mad about his sheer incompetence. How could he let it happen? How could the Motto chef and his assistant steal the recipes literally in front of his eyes? He couldn't do anything, he could not do anything in front of anybody (his mother, his staff). Nobody gives a damn about him. Don't know how they can fix him in the last 2 episodes.
They know they messed up big time. Now, trying to retain the ratings by giving some hope to the viewers. Ep 7 will be a mess, but something to hope for ep 8. Good thing is, in ep 8, they are back in Korea. It seemed like ML was still feeling guilty and trying to say something. That implies FL didn't know about the recipe thing yet.
I don't think Yeon Ju is even a bit swayed by her ex. I think her sudden trip has sth do to with the Japanese…
I believe most of us viewers want to watch a simple, beautiful drama. We are here to not judge who is a saint or who is not. Just want less angst possible. You might be correct, she is not that swayed by her ex anymore. But her ex will create more drama in the next episode. I'm not sure if she can draw a clear line between them. Let's hope they fix these issues in the next episode.
I don't really think there is love traingle as Yeon Ju is obviously not interested?
In the love triangles, typically one person is less interested than others. Here FL might be less interested, but 2ML is definitely interested. This falls under most common love triangle trope, lol
Ep 5 was okay until I watched the ending and the preview for ep 6. What a letdown. So much angst, ep 6 seems to be filled with angst. In the preview, I think I caught a glimpse of a hospital scene. I believe the female lead is there to visit her ex-chef, who might be hospitalized. But Yeon Seok's character definitely has a different intention. It also seems like everyone knows that the male lead is there to steal the recipe. Once the female lead learns about this, it will likely create unnecessary drama. I'm not ready for ep 6. I just wanted to enjoy a beautiful, angst-free drama, but episode 6 is certainly not that 😡😡
why suddenly there is yoo yeon seok??? why do i have to be faced with 2 difficult choices between haneul and yeonseok?…
I believe Yeon Seok makes a special appearance in this drama. I saw somewhere that it is only a cameo, not a supporting role. MDL also listed him as a guest actor, so I don’t think he will appear in more than a few scene, most likely to portray the FL’s past. It might involve some kind of betrayal or similar event, but nothing more than that. I don’t think he will be a love interest for the female lead, at least not in the present timeline.
The first two episodes were really good! This drama has a certain vibe that brings back memories of dramas from 2015–2020, and honestly, I miss those days. Back then, we weren’t nitpicking every little detail or trying to force realism onto everything; we just sat back and enjoyed the ride.
I kinda wish this drama had 16 episodes instead of 10. Well, shorter dramas are great for keeping things tight and engaging, but there’s something nice about a slightly slower pace and a longer journey. These days, I do prefer shorter dramas, but I also miss the 16-episode dramas sometimes.
Its always like that with daily and weekender dramas. They are nowhere near as popular and only draw in a specific…
I agree with your opinion about the ratings to some extent. But, still, this is way lower rated than it deserves. I think good dramas like Once again, Father is strange, Five is enough are all between the 8.4-8.5 range. I can't say this drama is better than those yet, but It is at least better than Never Twice (written by the same screenwriter), which sits at 8.1. There is something wrong with the ratings or something else. To me, it definitely deserves a better rating. Anyway, it wouldn't stop us from enjoying the drama. But for the new viewers, the ratings matter a lot.
What would you say are the best weekend dramas out there?
Some of my favorites are: Once again, My father is strange, Five enough, What Happens to my family, Seoyoung my daughter, etc. Actually, most of the 2010s dramas are good. There was a massive quality drops in the recent years. You can try the older ones. They are good
Its probably because both are rookies. I always expected ML + ML and Beom Soo to have the biggest amount of screentime.…
Yes, you are probably right. They are rookies. Certainly need some improvement in their acting. I believe, they will be okay. I just don't like the 3rd couple at all. But they are taking the most screentime. Hope the writer gives more focus to the 4th and 5th couple.
