Previously I kept the drama on hold and recently started again. Mainly because I saw overwhelming positive reviews in the comment section, so, the drama must be good. But, I feel scammed now. The drama is not bad actually. With the star leads and good acting of the actors, it's an above-average drama. But, from the overpraised reviews, I somehow got high expectations for this drama. With higher the expectations, higher the disappointments.
Somehow, this drama page is a prime example of stan culture. Its almost one month the drama ended. You expect to see a few positive comments and a few negative comments in the comment section. But there are so many comments in the comment section and all are full of praise. It seems like a group of fans post the same comments every few hours, lol. I wish people had better things to do in life.

Well, I liked the Korean version, I watched a few episodes of the Chinese version. But lets be honest, this is the best among all the versions. I have some bias about Korean dramas. They look pretty, the production quality and visuals are always far better than any chinese, Japanese remakes. But, I must say, those versions can't compare to this original version. It is an old drama. It doesn't look good like the Korean one. Also, old dramas sometimes have this over-the-top acting, nowadays viewers don't like that. This drama has these. But, the raw and genuine emotions that you find in this drama can't compare. Emotions were lacking to some extent in Korean and Chinese versions. Also, I liked the comedy a lot, which was missing in other versions. This drama certainly deserves much recognition. Don't ignore this because it is old and production quality is not today's standard.
Wow!! What just happened? Surely, there will be a time skip and a potential amnesia plot. Weekend dramas never disappoint, lol. Hope, after the timeskip we will see some resolution from FL's mother, brother, and that piece of shit Jin Dan. But, I guess the drama writer will make them more despicable. Let's see.
Good first four episodes. Not great, but good. I was expecting something like Stealth Walker. But, this drama is nothing like that. Also, there might be some complaints about the color palette and production quality. But, overall I like it. Waiting for the next episodes. Also, one more thing. Obviously, there is some sort of romance between ML and FL. This might fall under the slight romance or romance category.
A lot of mystery and confusion. I'm a bit confused about the power of ML. Why does he travel back to the past to save somebody if he can't touch anybody and change the future? And why he can touch FL? Possible reason, he can only touch a person with power. FL might also have a power that she doesn't know. FL's family is not her real family. Most probably an adopted family. All the members have different last names. FL might have some mystery and secret that we don't know.
A very good first episode. I like this kind of supernatural power, and time travel theme. It is just the beginning. There is a lot of promise. Looking forward to the next episodes.

Also, it seems like they used a bit darker color gradient in this drama. This kind of color gradient perfectly matches the mystery and a bit sad vibe that this drama tends to portray. But, I would expect a bit brighter color gradient and a bit happy vibe. Anyway, not a big deal. One last complaint is, the opening rating for this drama is 8.8. Which is very high based on only the first episode. The drama watchers should not still expect that much quality from this drama yet. It has a very promising start. Don't judge the drama based on the ratings. Just give this drama some time.
A lot of potential to be a great drama. But, it felt a bit underwhelming at the end. Could have been better. But, still a very good watch. Looking forward to the next projects of Kim Jiwon and Kim Soohyun.

Ratings in MDL are mostly based on viewers' ratings. If viewers like it, it gets a high rating. You see so many dramas get 9 ratings or even more. It sometimes doesn’t make sense to have some overhyped dramas to get that high rating. But it is what it is. If fans like it, then be it.
Actually, One Piece live action got a very good rating from different critics. Rottentomato ratings also show that. Based on critic ratings and fan ratings, 8.7 is not actually high for the site like MDL. I would say, this live action series at least deserves that much.

10/10 This drama is great. The perfect production, the perfect acting, with great romance, and a superpower theme that we all love but hardly any drama can pull that off properly. Completed watching this. Honestly, I had more expectations from this drama. Maybe because I read the novel a few months ago and anticipated this drama. I liked the novel more. There were some changes from the novel but the drama still followed the novel closely. The main thing I didn't like maybe was the FL character. The FL character doesn't feel the same. The character is too much soft and doesn't emit the same vibe as the novel's FL. I absolutely liked Wang Churan in Have a Crush on You. Mostly because she looked great and acted well. But here I didn't feel the same. Sometimes I felt her acting was missing and she could have done better.
Anyway, it is still a pretty good drama. I would rate it 8.5/10. That is a good rating overall.
Wang churan is back! Yang Yang is back! It's great to see them in the same drama. Good first 6 episodes. Seeing both Wang Churan and Yangyang was a pure delight. Overall the production and other things were done very well. Rescue scenes were done better than I ever expected.

Yes, I agree. The drama is made of several short stories and 1 main story. At first look, the short stories/fables seem irrelevant to the main story. But, actually all those stories have a purpose and are important. For the viewers sometimes its not easy to follow what is happening. Low rating comes with that. If the viewers stay a little longer, they would like this drama for sure. 9 more episodes. So, former lover and any other person coming back and creating some tension is certainly a possibility. For me, I hope the new fables will be based on FL's hope and expectations about life and will have happy endings.
The ratings are criminally low here. It's sad to see this drama at below 8, where so many mediocre dramas easily get 8+ ratings. Hope the ratings go up, so more viewers get interested and give a chance to this drama.

This drama is so good. I didn't expect myself to like it that much. It is different, sometimes a bit odd. But that is the charm of this drama. I want to watch more. But, feeling a bit sad looking at the release schedule. Only 1 episode tomorrow, and no episodes for the next 3 days. Come on, why don't they release 2 episodes everyday and finish it quickly? It is hard for us the viewers to wait that long.
I quite like IU, she is doing great, and I believe she needs some sort of recognition. But, Yoona and Suzy??? No way. Actingwise both are far far behind. And comparing them with the greats of Song Hye Kyo and Jun Ji Hyun??? No way!!!
Shin Hye Sun is back, and wow!! She looks stunning. And her acting was so good. It was a pure delight to see her in a drama again. But about the drama, I don't know, something is missing in this drama. Probably it is hard for us to believe that MC didn't fall in love in her 17 lives, and somehow a young girl suddenly fell in love with a young boy. The chemistry of them as both children and adults did not look so great. Also, in her previous 18 lives, she lived her lives both as male and female. It is hard for the viewers to determine where her emotions truly lie. I also hoped the MC would be more smarter as she spent 18 lifetimes and gathered a lot of knowledge. The first episode fell short of my expectations. I still liked it. The cinematography was great, and the acting was great. And more importantly, Shin Hye Sun looked stunning. But, hope the next episodes will get better.
