I'm not someone who's easily swayed by other people's opinions, but upon checking the comments section of this…
i agree with the review!! it's actually quite a decently executed drama with no weird morality questions popping up put of nowhere. even if the plot is your usual, mcs-save-the-world type, i would definitely say it's more believable than most, and, as a cherry on top, quite entertaining as well
She doesnโt remember anything and is behaving like a child. Instead of staying calm and composed to handle the…
oh i truly hate it ๐ im on ep 1 and they say that her tendons are not gonna recover... why do they have to make her badass for 15 minutes to give us fake hope and then never again till the end ๐ญ
Not at all. To the Chinese and Koreans, the words 'brother' and 'sister' take on a different context. Being brought…
lemme tell u i tried real hard to ignore it and pretend she's a different person but my brain just cant ๐ญ it's not even just about how he calls her it's the fact that they were literally brought up together as siblings; bye. also if logic starts flowing in it really blows up the whole plot because this sect leader who has met the og FL like once in her life is doing everything in her power to take revenge for her just cuz she lost her memory? it's one of those where the execution is nice, chemistry is great, but there's just a big gaping hole in the plot that if u can't ignore, you can't continue ๐ญ๐ญ edit: im on ep 14 btw, probably will stop here tho. glad at least most people are able to enjoy it ๐
Tomoya's regrets and apology at the end were about him realizing that Misa was the best thing he'd ever had and…
i really really loved how they portrayed the antagonists. they make you understand why they became the villains they are (esp reina, but also tomoya to some extent with the whole dynamic with his mom). they emphasise that villains aren't born but made by society. however they also didn't give them a crappy redemption arc to make it all look happy and fairytale-like. they deserved that ending due to the consequences of their actions regardless of how shitty their (reina's) upbringing was. well done on that aspect truly.
Afterr all, The Sparkle In Your Eye is also Chinese series. Much better then this one
yes!! i'll be checking all three of those out soon! very excited~ also, speaking of censorship and china, i'd honestly watch Winter Begonia (a censored chinese bl) 100 times over completing this one lol
not in the novel, no. but i'd like to imagine they did lol. you cannot make this shit up by saying they're just…
lol not really, it's more like the novel was pretty much similar to the drama. the author keeps edging the viewers throughout with the possibility of them being endgame, like there's quite a few sus parts, but then it ends up open ended. in the last-ish chapter there's even some dialogue between them along the lines of "when we find ourselves girlfriends let's not be like him" (him being xie ang). so the author just left it to the possibility of them both finding girlfriends in the future but we all know their deal by now lmao. also the characters for chen mo and gao yunlang are switched in the novel, and neither of them had a girlfriend throughout, so yue yue is an addition by the drama.
gonna get cancelled for this one but op you're so valid for all your other drama ratings too lmfao. i think ppl are coming at you because you talked only about snakes but i think it's a valid point, and the snake fight itself wasn't even believable. if someone drops the show because of its bad intro why would you blame them. but just to add to your review, i watched upto 3 eps. cuz i thought i'd be able to handle some cringe for the sake of them finally airing a chinese show with no censorship. but holy shit it gets worse as it goes on. i physically could not continue beyond ep 3. the plot is ridiculous, their business plan makes no sense, the chemistry? is not there. ppl must be starving for two men to kiss on the screen to like this kind of chemistry. it is so so so superficial, same old cliches but even those executed badly. the audio equipment also got on my nerves a lot. and the scenes do not connect well to each other. it's a rocky road truly. it is ridiculously hard to root for any character. if anything, the doctor is probably the only sane one, but then even he's kinda weird so that's not really saying much. i dont think we should be praising this hot garbage out of proportion just because china somehow finally managed to air it. they have better shows that HAVE censorship. so they can do much better than this clearly.
does chen mo and his friend have a thing going on that got cut out bcz of chinese censorship? bcz aint no way…
not in the novel, no. but i'd like to imagine they did lol. you cannot make this shit up by saying they're just bros with the extent they went to for each other.
I didnโt understand one thing, how did her dad die?
Basically the dad sucked out the snake's venom from her wound. Sometimes people do that as last resort, and then spit the venom out. But since he had a gum disease, and hence probably had inflamed gums, the venom entered his bloodstream and killed him.
Personally I thought it could have been handled better. It's generally not a good sign when like half your audience…
i agree with you wholeheartedly!! i dont't appreciate it when shows spoon-feed the audience with the whole past and you have to just sit there in frustration knowing everything and just waiting for the main leads to resolve it at some point. i think the curiosity is what brought my emotions to a boil and i could let it out when they finally broke it to us.
edit: im on ep 14 btw, probably will stop here tho. glad at least most people are able to enjoy it ๐
