"it"not "she/her" or "he/him""program"not "being"i would not mind articles…
Agree that people need to be more mindful with the language around this topic.

I also noticed in this article there are multiple references to 'taking on brand deals' etc, as if the ai are actually making career decisions or behaving in some way like "virtual people" and making decisions in any way. But as far as I understand it, that is entirely false. The only thing that is AI about this, is the rendering process.

Some human dude/company production team is taking deals to produce content with the likeness of whatever ai creation. This is more akin to licensing animation. Sure you can get someone to put Mario in a drama or whatever, and its worth 'market share' or whatever but you don't start calling Mario a 'virtual being'.

Conflating realistic animation with "virtual actors" by using the same verbiage used to discuss human actor careers is both inaccurate and misleading.

Review Sleep with Me
The sleep disorder is not fictional. In the show they specifically mention that it is distinct from insomnia, she doesn't have trouble falling asleep, her sleep cycle is just based on a different circadian rhythm.

It is actually very disheartening to see someone walked away from a drama that emphasized diversity and inclusion so much, with this misunderstanding :(

aw I was so excited to get a comment and then it's this. I am not sure what most of that means but it looks like I was misunderstood, or you are bringing a lot of fandom assumptions to the wrong person. I am guessing that my rating was just really a big deal? I rate based on how I enjoyed it, and I have rated many GLs highly, including low budget web dramas so idk this one was notably bad.

My ratings are public just like yours, and you have rated better GL dramas lower than I rated this. Only You at 4? My Safe Zone at 6? haha they aren't for everyone, but you gave them comparable ratings that I gave this short. Not every GL is a banger. I don't see where I was so out of line to warrant this comment

You can’t have “BL” in the title but the bl plot is a minor plot. GuySave have maybe 5 min of interaction…
if you read the title this is clearly about a BL *author* lmao. Even read the genre tags and romance is not in there. The title and description very clearly reflect the actual content of this show. and the show is still very much about BL as a topic. and BL is explicitly shown. In no way "bait"

This review mirrored my experience!
- Overall good drama, BUT
- The fight and magic in the intro set expectations for a far more fantastical drama than what we got. People seemingly barely have magic at all or ever use it
- The middle bit got thin as we cycled the same conflicts too many times
- The villain was not it, too much time spent being insufferable and his final arc goes nowhere special
- "The first antagonist was a better villain" I hadn't thought about this but yes?? He actually had a lot of mysterious and menacing presence, and some complexity to his interests
