I think it's quite usual in BL series there will be a girl to distract the relationship. Audiences will think this is unnecessary. Even when boys x boys and boys x girls series was airing at the same time, boys x boys always take precedence at the top of the chart.

What is important for me how their relationship at the end. Whatever happens along that way, I'm okay. Not to take any side or even drag it into the reality. Storyline like roller coaster, up and down, feel anxious, but will feel great at the end.
Well, Tharn doesn't make a physical appearance in LBC, but there were always comments about him, how was his relationship…
So I assume their relationship still ongoing at least up until LBC's time. I'm try to predict the end of this series based on what we got in LBC. Should be parallel unless there are overlapped timeline between these series. Urhh... still have 8 weeks to go...
One thing I don't like watching ongoing series is need to wait for next episode. No marathon. Haha! Even the storyline is quite fast, but not the episode. Not even half now. By that time being, my instinct say there will be some difficulties for TharnType's relationship. But as usual, the ending is the ultimate. Can't recall about their relationship in LBC which in timeline should come later, either they still in relationship (happy ending) or already become ex (sad ending)? Their story in LBC and Type's chahracter is minor and no Tharn there. BTW, this might be my Series of the Year for 2019, after 2 Moons the Series (2017) and Love by Chance (2018), but will wait to the end. Although storyline quite fast, but still easy to understand. No need for unnecessary or unimportant scenes which may make audiences feel boring, slowdown the storyline etc. Thumbs up!

I didn't skip TumTar scenes but their storyline still confusing like in LBC. For me it's crucial to understand their story because they are one of 'bridge' that connect this series with LBC. But complexity of their storyline and not same actors as in LBC make me feel a bit incoherence. I also have habit to focus 99% just to the main couple, AePete in LBC and TharnType here. So, as there are no AePete here and TharnType is not so elaborated in LBC, so the link is there, but quite thin for me.
I know this series since the end of LBC which James and Yatch is one of the casts. Would like to watch it but, the picture already say this is 'heavy' or 'strong' series, not 'mild' I used to watch before. Black background with chain, no rainbowish, flowerish or cheerful. Just, will look how it will be later.
I'm okay just quite 'strong' for me even for episode 1. I'm more to 'mild' series like 2 Moons S1 and LBC which make me giggling than feel tense. But I will still waiting for next episode. Used to know that The Effect will be 'extra strong' flavour of BL but the series already in my list since long time ago. So, just see how it will go.
In History series, I just watched Crossing the Line and this Trapped. Well, even tight budget Crossing the Line still delivered well with only 8 episodes, this Trapped we got 20 episodes and I really enjoyed watched it. Can feel excited, romantics, humors. Full rating from me, of course.

Yes... I don't feel great with their ending when watched it on Friday's version and even worst without subtitles (I still feel teasing fans with this shorter version is unnecessary). Like just with video call?! Just virtually there? But longer version and English subtitles make me feel better. Even with just a video call, I can feel their great relationship. It's become more touching when watch their flashback at very end of the story.
Storyline is easy to understand. Along the way, you can't stop to watch the next episode. Their journey is amazing. Scenes allocation more to AePete as they are main couple. TinCan still get reasonable scenes just their ending is not so favourable. KlaNo's and TumTar's scenes however quite short hence make their story simpler than AePete and TinCan. Although I more to AePete couple which got great happy ending, but sad ending for TinCan, cliffhanging story of KlaNo and simplicity of TumTar story make me give 9.5. Acting/cast is great for me. I know some of us might have some complains especially at beginning of the series, but for newbie like me, everything is okay. We also can see that improvement happen from one episode to another. Chemistry between characters also greater from time to time. I hope they will retain all casts if season 2 manage to be happen. Music is no problem. If we heard that song(s) or musics and able to make us remembering LBC or even certain couples, it's a successfulness. Really enjoy their opening and closing songs. So I give 10. Re-watch value at 9.5 because it's closely related with storyline. If every couples get happy and clear ending, I can give 10. But you'll never feel bored to watch it again and again especially for several cute, fluffy and romantic scenes. Overall is 10 because out of 5 BL series that I'm watched since a year ago, this is the best even not perfect. This might not true for everyone as I'm bias to AePete that have proper ending. There no season 2 at least for now, so this only LBC able to become special series for you. Just be moderate, rational and reasonable. Don't be too emotional. Then you'll able to enjoy the show. Still hope the best for 2nd season, with same actors, same settings.
